Pay attention to the age requirement
National defense students are required to be no more than 20 years old.
The majority of candidates and parents should pay special attention to this point, and don't affect the application because of age conditions. Take the national defense students who apply for 20 10 as an example. Candidates must be born after 1 September 19901to meet the requirements. If they were born before this time, don't apply. Otherwise, even if the candidates' electronic files have been filed, they will be returned when the files are reviewed. For example, when national defense students were admitted in 2005, the electronic file of examinee Wang was put into a school. When looking up the files, I found that his date of birth was1August 26th, 985. Although he only exceeded the age limit for a few days, he was also fired.

Pay attention to the identity requirements of candidates
National defense students are only recruited from the fresh high school graduates of ordinary middle schools who take the national unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities, and previous students will not be admitted even if they apply for the examination. In the process of recruiting national defense students in 2007, we found that one candidate was a former student and did not meet the admission conditions, so he was dismissed.

Pay attention to physical requirements
National defense students should take part in military examination, which mainly includes surgery, internal medicine, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, stomatology and psychological test. Some of these items need to go to the hospital to know whether they are qualified or not, and some items can be mastered by themselves, such as height, weight and vision. Every year, individual candidates are unsuccessful because they are overweight or too thin and have poor eyesight. After the freshmen of national defense students enter the school, universities and training offices will also organize re-examinations. Those who fail the second interview will be disqualified from national defense students and even face the danger of dropping out of school. Therefore, it is suggested that candidates should test their physical condition before filling in their volunteers. If the body does not meet the requirements of national defense students, don't force or deliberately hide it.

Pay attention to training objectives
The training objectives of national defense students can be divided into two categories: command and non-command. The major of command is to train command officers for the grass-roots units of the army. After graduation, the national defense students of this major will take up the position of platoon leader in the first period of the army and lead troops directly. Non-command majors mainly train professional and technical personnel for military academies, scientific research units and military technical posts. National defense students majoring in this field are mainly engaged in technical work after graduation. Generally, candidates with extroversion, strong organizational and coordination management skills, good communication skills and strong language expression skills are suitable for applying for the command major. If the candidate is introverted and not good at communicating with others, it is best not to choose the command major.

Pay attention to understanding special requirements
National defense students are trained for the army. Candidates and parents should not only focus on the benefits and advantages, but also fully understand the relevant policies to see if they can accept some special requirements.
These requirements are roughly four points:
First, you can't transfer to another school or major at will. In principle, national defense students are not allowed to transfer to another school or major during their study in school. If there are special reasons to transfer to another school or major, a written application should be submitted to the training office of the school where it is located and reported to the cadre department of the army for examination and approval. Second, you can't take the postgraduate entrance examination at will.
Study and live. When national defense students graduate, they must be approved by the competent military department before they can apply for the exam or be recommended to study in military academies and scientific research institutions and sign up for graduate students in ordinary colleges and universities.
Third, we should participate in military and political training. National defense students should implement paramilitary management during their school days, and they should carry out necessary military and political training. Generally, queue and military physical training should be carried out on weekends, and morning exercises should be done 2-3 times a week, and intensive training and military training should be conducted in the army during winter and summer vacations. Fourth, we must obey the organizational distribution. After graduation, national defense students who pass the comprehensive evaluation are assigned to work in the army in accordance with the National Defense Scholarship Agreement. At present, national defense students in colleges and universities are basically assigned by the whole army, and national defense students in Beijing may not be able to stay and work in Beijing.

Pay attention to the reasonable selection of newspapers according to academic performance.
In recent years, with the gradual improvement of military treatment and the increasing pressure of social employment, the number of candidates applying for national defense students has gradually increased, and the admission scores of national defense students have also increased. For example, in 2009, the admission score of Beijing Jiaotong University for national defense students in Beijing was 583 points, which was 8 points higher than the minimum admission score for unified enrollment. Candidates should not excessively pursue prestigious schools, but should choose the schools to apply for according to their usual grades and the admission scores of national defense students in recent years.

Volunteer to work in the army
Volunteering for national defense students is the most basic condition and the most important point for applying for national defense students.
National defense students are admitted in batches in advance. If the candidates who apply for national defense students are not admitted as national defense students, it will not affect the admission of future batches of colleges and universities. It should be said that they have one more admission opportunity than other candidates, but don't apply blindly. If candidates don't want to be national defense students, they must not fill in such volunteers. On the one hand, if the candidates are admitted in advance, they will not be able to participate in the subsequent batch admission. On the other hand, students' own investment in national defense is not firm, and they don't really want to work in the army. After entering school, you will avoid strict management and hard training, and it is easy to relax your requirements and give up on yourself. In the end, either take the initiative to break the contract or be eliminated.
