Shanghai Maritime University:

The history of Shanghai Maritime University can be traced back to 1909, the shipping department of Shanghai Institute of Technology, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in the late Qing Dynasty. Located in Shanghai, the school is a multi-disciplinary applied research-oriented university featuring shipping, logistics and ocean, with eight disciplines including engineering, management, economics, law, literature, science, art and education. It is a university jointly established by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Transport.
