1. Weihai Ocean University was founded in 1993. It consists of four teaching departments and an experimental teaching center, including marine bioengineering department, pharmacy department, marine environment and fishery department and applied chemistry department.

2. It also owns Weihai International Biotechnology R&D Center of Shandong University.
