A survey of college students' happiness

I. Purpose and significance of the survey

In our society, college students, as a special group, are widely concerned by the society. College students are at the critical stage of professional knowledge learning and personality shaping, and they are the backbone of the future society. The study and living conditions of this group will affect all aspects of the future society. In recent years, there are many questions about college students, a large part of which focus on their psychological problems. Many scholars and media have done a lot of research and reports on this.

According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, he thinks that after people's low-level needs are met, that level of happiness will be improved, and then they will pursue high-level happiness. Subjective well-being is the overall evaluation of the quality of life by the evaluator according to his own standards. The study of happiness is to quantify subjective happiness feelings and measure them with specific indicators. The research on subjective well-being first started from abroad, and the research on happiness in China can be traced back to the 1980s, and it has developed very rapidly in recent years. In 2004, the "China Work Happiness Index Survey" and the "China City and Life Happiness Survey Report in 2005" released in 2006 caused strong and exciting discussions among the public. The method of studying social problems from the perspective of happiness has been applied to more and more fields.

In order to understand the happiness of our college students and build a harmonious campus, I conducted a survey of our college students, focusing on their friendly relations, self-worth, health concerns and so on. On the basis of the investigation, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the happiness of college students in our school. Second, the contents, objects and methods of investigation and study

Survey content: Personal basic information includes grade, age, gender, major, etc. Other information such as family economic conditions, learning satisfaction, interpersonal relationships, personal personality and other self-evaluation. Respondents: 23 boys and 27 girls.

Survey method: questionnaire survey. Questionnaires are in the form of multiple-choice questions, which are divided into single-choice questions and multiple-choice questions. In this survey, 50 questionnaires were sent out, and 47 questionnaires were actually valid, with an effective recovery rate of 94%. Third, the results and analysis

1, the relationship between happiness and gender. Girls account for 55.8% and boys account for 44.2%. Generally speaking, girls feel happier than boys. Our group believes that in life, girls' gender characteristics make them have more delicate feelings, care more about family and friends and have more harmonious interpersonal relationships than boys. When problems arise, they will take the initiative to seek help from family and friends, as well as spiritual understanding and comfort. And boys have a strong sense of independence, in contrast.

Girls are introverted, not good at expressing their feelings, and have less communication with family and friends than girls. Therefore, girls will feel happier when they are alive.

2. The relationship between happiness and art and science. Science 44. 1%, liberal arts 55.9%. Generally speaking, people who study liberal arts are more likely to feel happy than those who study science. Our group thinks that science students are more rigorous and demanding, so they are more likely to be disappointed with things. Liberal arts students are more emotional and look at things more casually, so they will live more comfortably and happily.

3. The relationship between happiness and economic conditions. The family background is 5 1.4%, and the family background is generally 48.6%. Generally speaking, economic conditions have little effect on college students' happiness. At this stage of our college students' life, the demand for material things is not so strong, so economic conditions have little influence on us. As long as it is not an extreme phenomenon, then everyone's happiness is similar.

4. The relationship between happiness and the only child. Non-only children accounted for 62.8%, and only children accounted for 37.2%. Generally speaking, non-only children have a strong sense of happiness. Without the only child, they have more family members and more people to talk to, so they will feel happier.

5. The relationship between happiness and academic performance. Good grades are 39.5%, but 60.5% does not matter. Generally speaking, studying well has little effect on college students' happiness. Now everyone pays more attention to all-round development and is willing to invest more in their own interests, so they don't care much about academic performance in the traditional concept, so happiness has little to do with academic performance.

6. The relationship between happiness and interpersonal communication is 74.4%, indicating that people with extensive contacts are more likely to feel happy. This is easy to understand. More friends can get more care and naturally feel happier.

7. The relationship between happiness and personality, with mixed personality accounting for 84.3%, shows that people with both introverted and extroverted personalities are more likely to feel happy. In life, it is hard to say whether a person is introverted or extroverted. Sometimes things need restraint, and sometimes they need publicity. All people who have both extroverted personality and extroverted personality in life are more likely to feel happy.

8. Regarding the self-evaluation of college students' happiness, the self-evaluation of college students' happiness is the most critical question, and the answer to this question can directly reflect the happiness of college students today. In "Do you think you are happy?" In the questionnaire survey and "Are you happy, satisfied or happy?" 80% people think their happiness index is above level 6 (10 is very happy), a few college students have a deviation in their self-evaluation of happiness, and 7% people think their happiness index is below level 4.

Fourth, suggestions:

In view of the subjective well-being of college students in our school and its influencing factors, it is suggested to educate and guide them from both the school and the college students themselves.

Strengthen the course construction of mental health education, offer courses such as college students' mental health, interpersonal psychology and professional psychology, and help college students understand and grasp the law of their own development and improve their self-knowledge methods, so as to promote self-adjustment and better adapt to social development.

As far as college students themselves are concerned, they should establish a scientific world outlook and life values, clarify their own life goals, establish their own life ideals, correctly handle the relationship between money and life, individuals and society, prevent money worship, individualism, pessimism and nihilism, pursue happiness in life and realize their own life values in positive and optimistic struggle, hard work and dedication; Actively participate in physical exercise, improve physical fitness, maintain a healthy body and a good attitude; Seize every opportunity during school to develop and improve their abilities and qualities, pay more attention to the requirements and standards of employing people in enterprises, cultivate themselves into talents that meet the needs of enterprises, strengthen communication and exchanges with parents, and establish good parent-child relationship with parents, which is conducive to the harmonious development of college students' body and mind; Strive to strengthen communication and exchanges with classmates, friends, teachers and society, accumulate interpersonal experience in daily life, and constantly improve interpersonal skills and abilities;
