North China Electric Power University is located in Beijing.
It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, which is jointly established by the board of directors of State Grid Corporation, China Electric Power Enterprise Federation and other 12 super-large power groups and the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" implemented by the Ministry of Education, which is the key construction university of "Double First-class", "265,438+065,438+0 Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform".
As of September 2, 20221,the official website of the school shows that the school is headquartered in Beijing and has a Baoding campus. The school covers an area of 1.600 mu, and the building area is 1 10,000 square meters. The school has 67 undergraduate majors; 15 national first-class majors, 1 1 national characteristic majors, and 4 national strategic emerging industries related majors.
2 national key disciplines; At present, there are 6 post-doctoral research stations, 7 first-level discipline authorization points for doctoral degrees and 23 first-level discipline authorization points for master's degrees. There are more than 3000 faculty members in this school.
School 1958 was founded in Beijing, formerly known as Beijing Electric Power Institute; 1969 moved to Hebei, renamed Hebei electric power institute (1970) and north China electric power institute (1978).
1978 was established as a national key university by the State Council. 1995, North China Electric Power University and Beijing Institute of Electric Power Economics merged to form North China Electric Power University, with its headquarters in Baoding, Hebei Province and Beijing Campus. In March 2003, during the national power system reform, the management right of the school was transferred from the original power department to the Ministry of Education. At the same time, a board of directors composed of State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (renamed the board of directors in 2006) was established to jointly build a school with the Ministry of Education.
In September, 2005, the Ministry of Education approved the school headquarters to be located in Beijing, with a separate Baoding campus and integrated management of the two places.
