Yantai University is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province. Located in Laishan, Yantai, it was established in July 1984. Under the care and guidance of Wan Li, former vice premier of the State Council, and Zhang Chengxian, honorary president, and with the special approval of the former State Education Commission, Peking University and Tsinghua University jointly selected teaching, scientific research and management backbones to build the project, and included their support for Tobacco University in the long-term work plan. 1990 set up the "Peking University" and "Tsinghua" Committee to support the construction of Yantai University, and regularly study and guide the teaching, scientific research, discipline construction and reform and development of Yantai University, so that Yantai University has a higher starting point and a higher level of development.
