Jiangsu University is a comprehensive university with teaching and research characteristics, which was approved by the Ministry of Education and merged from the former Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Zhenjiang Medical College and Zhenjiang Normal College in August 20001year. The history of running a school can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School founded by Liu Kunyi, Zhang Zhidong and Wei Guangtao in 1902.
