Disappointment, guilt, regret, gratitude, etc. Wave after wave came to me, urging me to turn into words.

I met Gan Ying and Guiying in 2002, when Brother Gan Ying retired a few years earlier. He and his wife came to the writing camp, hoping that through writing training, they would do more in Chinese Ministry in the future. I also took my daughter to the camp that year. Mr. and Mrs. Gan Ying liked my daughter very much, admitted that she was their adopted daughter, and invited us to their home.

In the spring of 2003, we went to DC to see cherry blossoms and also visited them. During the conversation, Gan Ying used his professional knowledge to analyze the family economic situation for us and encouraged us to buy a house. This also tells us that housing investment is safer than stock investment. With their encouragement, we realized our wish to buy a house that year. They took the trouble to visit our new house and gave us the dehumidifier that we needed most at that time.

Later, I learned that Brother Gan Ying has been employed as a professor by the Economics Department of Donghua University in Taiwan Province since 1996. With his influence on campus, he opened a course on Bible culture, which was warmly welcomed by students. Later, he was appointed by the governor and became a director of the Central Bank of Taiwan Province Province.

On June 5438+ 10, 2005, the "God Country Resources for Christ Association" was established, and Brother Gan Ying became the core co-worker. In addition to being responsible for important administrative affairs, he also offers courses in cultural camps. My husband, my daughter and I have become students in Gan Ying and benefited a lot. My daughter is better at managing money than we are now, which is due to her taking a course offered by Senior Brother Gan Ying in college.

When the editorial team of Shenbao magazine was established, Gan Ying was the head of Talent, and his professional articles and interviews were wonderful. Later, he took over as the director of the US-China Outreach Department of Crown Finance. On 20 10, Ms. Jiang haiqiong, the founder of "caring for single parents by the stream", passed away. She entrusted the Ministry to her brother Gan Ying and said that when she gave it to him, she felt at ease. Brother Gan Ying, who can't say "no", has a heavier burden and people are getting busier and busier.

The last time I saw Brother Gan Ying was just after New Year's Day on 20 19. We went to DC to meet our little grandson, made an appointment with the Ying Ying brothers and had a happy lunch. When asked about their experiences as grandparents, the Gan Ying brothers said, "Shut up and open your wallet" and later said, "Open the toolbox."

At the dinner party, Gan Ying met us and helped them watch the air conditioner when we went to DC in the spring. However, due to our poor arrangement, it conflicts with the time when Brother Gan Ying went out to preach, so we have to make another appointment.

In February this year, Brother Gan Ying was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, with multiple metastases all over the body. Hearing the news, my heart ached and I had a bad feeling. Ten times of chemotherapy made Brother Gan Ying weaker, but he never stopped serving in his hands and prepared for the succession of the priesthood. He reports his situation to his colleagues from time to time and thanks them for their prayers. Just the day before Brother Gan Ying left, he wrote to tell us that he had a lung infection and would stay in the hospital for a few days. When his blood oxygen concentration rose, he could go home. I didn't expect him to walk so fast.

The morning after Brother Gan Ying left, I had a strange dream, which was very clear and recorded as follows:

In my dream, my brother Gan Ying presided over an exam. I am his assistant and one of the candidates. I am not fully prepared, and my heart is very fragile. The examination questions seem to be related to the internal structure of the heart. I mentioned the ear (probably related to the recent low-grade fever mentioned in Brother Gan Ying's email, the ear temperature is 99- 100 degrees). I can't write the answer. I saw that Gan Ying brothers collected some papers and put them on my long desk, looking for opportunities to peek at other people's answers, but I knew that Gan Ying brothers were honest and strict, and never dared. I asked Brother Gan Ying if anyone got full marks, and Brother Gan Ying said, of course.

Later, brother Gan Ying gave me two bags of seeds, such as wheat, which were put in small net bags. I dropped them on the tile floor in the corridor, and one of the net bags was broken and the seeds were scattered all over the floor. Gan Ying brother "oh", and didn't blame me. He asked me to put it back in the net bag. When I woke up, I realized that I was working with Brother Gan Ying in my dream. I was very happy.

It is said that after death, the soul will bid farewell to relatives and friends and become our dream. I think of a bible: I tell you the truth: a wheat does not fall into the ground and dies, it is still a grain; If you die, you will bear many seeds. "(about 12:24)

This dream made me think, test and sow. My guilty conscience during the exam showed that I realized that my participation in faith and Ministry was heavily in debt. Although I have no other responsibilities, I blame myself. The seeds fall on the tile floor, which is meaningless. Only when they fall on good soil can they germinate and grow, reminding me to think about where I should work for the Lord.

Brother Gan Ying sowed seeds in many good soils. The ministry he handled, the articles he left behind, and the countless students he taught and influenced were countless seeds.

Brother Wen's life is rich and wonderful. He has many titles, but I didn't pay much attention to it. His easy-going personality and humorous words are just like the big brother next door, so I have always been used to calling him Brother Gan Ying. I took this opportunity to read brother Gan Ying's resume, only to know that I once knew an excellent and devout brother and worked with him, and was influenced by his life.

It is not difficult to see how many positions he has held in the world and how hard he works and manages. Not only that, he and Guiying have been cultivating and establishing families for decades, and now their children have become full-time priests and missionaries. On May 29th, Brother Gan Ying also sent me a video of his son, Reverend Wen Yongxu, who teaches at China Gospel Theological Seminary in Taiwan Province, preaching in Mandarin for all teachers and students for the first time. It can be seen that he did not forget to inspire others until the last moment of his life.

Now the Gan Ying brothers have rested from the hard work on the ground and come out of his sick body. God himself took him home to heaven. He must be a rich man in the sky, and he can also say without shame: I fought that beautiful battle, I ran all the way, and I kept what I believed. From then on, a crown of righteousness was reserved for me, which was given to me on that day by the Lord who judged righteously. (Chapter 4, sections 7-8)

Brother Gan Ying left us. Although he was sad, he believed that the separation was short-lived. Since we meet by destiny in the world and become classmates, teachers and students, colleagues, I believe that in the near future, we will meet happily in heaven.
