Capital university of economics and business, founded in 1956, is a key university in Beijing, which was established by the merger of the former Beijing Institute of Economics and the former Beijing Institute of Finance and Trade in March 1995. The school is located in Hu Axiang, Fengtai District. It is mainly engaged in full-time undergraduate and postgraduate education, covering an area of 293,246 square meters. Hongmiao Campus, located in Hongmiao, Chaoyang District, covers an area of 58,376 square meters.

There are 25 secondary party organizations under the school party committee, including 14 secondary party committees, 8 general party branches and 3 directly affiliated party branches.
