Brief introduction of Yellow River Institute of Science and Technology
Yellow River Institute of Science and Technology (Yellow River S&; T University, headquartered in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is a private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was selected as one of the first batch of "Research Units of Applied Science and Technology University Reform Strategy" and "Made in China, internet plus, 2025" by the Ministry of Education to promote the integration of production and education.
The first batch of pilot universities for transformation and development in Henan Province, universities with typical experience in graduate employment in China, the first batch of undergraduate universities with demonstration application technology types in Henan Province, universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship in China, the first batch of demonstration universities in deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in China, the first batch of "National Social Organization Education and Training Base" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the demonstration base of entrepreneurship incubation in Henan Province.
The pilot universities of "Three-Round Education" comprehensive reform in Henan Province and the pilot units of smart campus construction in colleges and universities in Henan Province are members of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
Yellow River Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 1984, and 1994 became the first private university approved by the State Education Commission and the first private university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2000. In 2004, it was granted the right of bachelor's degree, and in 20021year, the school was awarded the master's degree of Henan Province to the project construction unit.
In April, 2023, official website showed that the school has five campuses, covering an area of more than 2,800 mu, with a building area of 6,543.8+4,000 square meters, with a total value of 489 million yuan of teaching and research instruments, 3.84 million books in the library, 6,543.8+00 secondary colleges (departments), more than 30,000 full-time undergraduates and more than 2,200 faculty members.
