College of Modern Humanities of Shanxi Normal University was established in June 2002. It is an independent normal college approved by Shanxi Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It implements full-time undergraduate education with new mechanism and new mode.

Students who have completed the required credits in accordance with the professional teaching plan and meet the regulations of the Ministry of Education on the management of students in ordinary colleges and universities will be awarded graduation certificates in ordinary colleges and universities. Those who pass the examination and conform to the Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Academic Degrees and the relevant provisions shall be awarded the "Bachelor's Degree Certificate".
