College desire and tears
About my understanding of the university;

After studying in college for several years, I finally found that college and high school are actually the same thing. Universities are neither as noble as ivory towers, nor as terrible as some students in this post bar say.

On the surface, the difference between university and high school is actually the same thing in essence. For example, in terms of education mode, the education modes of universities and high schools are essentially exam-oriented education, high schools are not quality education, and universities are basically not what he boasts, so Grandpa can go to fucking quality education.

The main difference between universities and high schools in education mode is that high schools pursue higher college entrance examination scores in order to get into better universities, while universities pursue higher final exam scores in order to get university diplomas and degree certificates. However, the teaching and assessment model in universities and high schools is essentially exam-oriented education rather than quality education, which gives preferential treatment to students with good grades in high schools, and students who want to get along well in universities also rely on scores. Scholarships in universities have always been those with excellent grades, not those with strong ability and high comprehensive quality. If you say that you dislike those who worship ability, your ability is a fucking dick. There is another difference between universities and high schools in teaching, that is, the bonuses of high school teachers are linked to the students' test scores, especially the college entrance examination results. Therefore, high school teachers are afraid that students' college entrance examination scores will be low and there will be fewer students on the front line, so they will try their best to master the key points of the college entrance examination. However, in college, students' final exam scores have nothing to do with teachers' hair. It doesn't matter how low your final exam is, how many subjects you failed, whether you can get a diploma or a degree certificate. Even in most universities, your teacher himself is the questioner and the reviewer of this exam. Usually, students need to please the teacher and leave a better impression on him, so that he can give you a higher score in the final exam, so that you can improve your GPA and get a bachelor's degree certificate smoothly. Because almost every university has stipulated the requirements for students' average grade points in the final exam, that is, the average grade points. Generally speaking, the average grade points of students are required to be above 2.0, that is, the average grade points of all compulsory courses in the university for four years are above 70, and some universities have lower requirements for the average grade points. This is also the main difference between universities and high schools in the examination mode.

As for the fact that universities divide students from the same school into different majors for teaching and examination, in my opinion, it is actually the same as dividing students into liberal arts students, science students, art students and physical education students in high schools. The difference is that the university divides students into different disciplines for teaching, and the scale of the examination is larger, the level is higher and the division is finer. In high school, liberal arts students often switch to science, but more students who are not in science switch to liberal arts. There are still many people who can't decide whether to study liberal arts or science, and they can't get into any better universities, so they choose to switch to art students and sports students. What is the essential difference between this and changing majors from universities?

The student management mode and administrative department of universities and senior high schools are basically the same. For example, high schools and universities have academic affairs offices. In high school, there is a student affairs office, and in university, there is also a department similar to the student affairs office, which is called the student affairs office for short. The names of the student affairs office and the student affairs office sound different, but the student affairs office in high school and the student affairs office in university do basically the same thing. People who don't believe it can go to Baidu to search the function introduction of the Political and Educational Affairs Office and the Student Affairs Office to see if their functions are similar. It is estimated that many people are familiar with the Political and Educational Affairs Office of high schools, the Academic Affairs Office and the Security Office of universities, but they are almost unheard of or even turn a blind eye to the student affairs office of universities. But I want to say that according to my observation, the student affairs office is the real real power department of an organization like Royal Guards in the university. People who don't believe in evil can go to the Internet or your student handbook to find out which department is responsible for drafting or interpreting the university's disciplinary regulations and psychological crisis intervention programs, who decides the punishment opinions for those students who violate the discipline, and who is behind the scenes to instruct those students who are abnormal in psychology and behavior or commit suicide, self-harm or unprovoked injury. You only need to look at the official seal of which department of the university is covered in the lower right corner of the university's disciplinary decision document. The main difference between the university student affairs office and the high school student affairs office is that the university student affairs office is more low-key and less ostentatious than the high school student affairs office, so that the word student affairs office is a household name in the eyes of those students who are not disciplined in high school. This is also the main reason why many people have never heard of students in universities.

In high school, there is a general affairs office, which is responsible for managing the logistics affairs of the school. In universities, there is a similar organization called Logistics Department, and some universities call Logistics Department General Affairs Department.

As for the security office, there is basically no difference between a university and a high school. However, there are still a few key universities whose security offices and resident police stations are integrated, such as Tsinghua University and Chongqing University. The security ministers of Tsinghua University and Chongqing University are also the deputy directors of the police stations of Tsinghua University and Chongqing University.

Generally speaking, I think the biggest difference between high school and university is that high school is generally closed management, and students are not allowed to go out from Monday to Friday. In universities, in addition to military schools and police academies, there are three private universities with strict management, which generally allow students to go out from Monday to Friday.

Also, the management of students' daily behavior in universities should be lax, and basically no one cares about the internal hygiene of your dormitory, smoking and drinking. The university allows you to surf the Internet freely in the dormitory instead of studying by yourself in the morning and evening. Most universities don't stipulate when to turn off the lights at night. Compared with senior high schools, universities generally cover a much larger area, and buildings generally need luxury, because the state has invested much more in infrastructure than senior high schools, especially some key universities. But to be honest, I think the differences between universities and high schools in these aspects can only be regarded as trivial details. Mei Yiqi said that the greatness of a university lies not in its architecture, but in its masters. I think, in fact, from a practical point of view, China's universities are big because of their large buildings and large areas.

So I think there is basically no difference between college and high school. University and high school are actually carved from the same mold, and university can be regarded as an upgraded version and a luxurious enlarged version of high school.

If you can survive high school, why can't you stand college life? Do we have to pursue the ivory tower ideal in our hearts?
