Measures of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics for the Implementation and Management of Undergraduates' Changing Majors

In order to further strengthen the construction of study style, introduce competitive incentive mechanism and innovative consciousness into the whole process of teaching management, and reform the disadvantages of lifelong college entrance examination, so as to facilitate the rapid production of talents and the production of outstanding talents, these measures are formulated.

First, the object and application conditions for students to change majors

Article 1 Students of ordinary full-time undergraduate students in the second, third and fourth semesters have not violated laws, regulations or school rules.

Article 2 Students may apply for changing their major under any of the following circumstances:

1. Those who have excellent academic performance in the first, second and third semesters and have an average GPA of 3.5 or above in all courses;

2. As an individual or the first author, he published more than 3,000 words of papers 1 article in the national academic journals (excluding supplements) specified in the Classification Standard for Academic Journals of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, or won prizes (including above) in various provincial and ministerial competitions;

3. A few students do have special skills, and those who change majors can play their special skills;

4. Individual students are found to have a certain disease after entering the school, and can't study in the original major, but they can still study in other majors of the school after being examined by the medical unit designated by the school;

5. The school admits that students do have some special difficulties and cannot continue their studies without changing their majors;

6. Students who retain their academic status or resume their studies after the expiration of the suspension period may apply to transfer to a similar major if there is no teaching class in the original major in the first grade.

Article 3 Proportion of transfer majors: The number of transfer majors shall not exceed 30% of students of the same grade in this major. The number of transferable students per semester shall be reported to the Academic Affairs Office for approval by the secondary college where the transfer major is located, and then announced to the whole school.

Article 4 Students who change majors in the second semester are allowed to apply for changing majors in all fields except the fourth paragraph of Article 5. In the third and fourth semesters, it is allowed to apply for changing majors in the discipline where the original major is located. Among them, the number of undergraduates majoring in humanities, information and mathematics transferred to other colleges and universities does not exceed 20% of the students of the same grade. Special circumstances need to be reported to the school for approval.

Article 5 A student may not change his major under any of the following circumstances:

1. Freshmen who have been enrolled for less than one semester;

2. Having studied for two years;

3. Changing professional records once;

4. Conversion between arts and non-arts majors;

5. There is no justifiable reason.

Second, the time and procedure for students to change majors.

Article 6 The time for students to change majors is arranged in the first week of the second, third and fourth semesters after admission.

Those who meet the conditions in Article 2 (1) of these Measures and do not fall into any of the circumstances in Article 5 shall submit a written application to their secondary college within the specified time, and be transferred to the secondary college for assessment after being reviewed and recommended by the leaders of the secondary college. After the examination and approval, the materials of the students to be transferred will be reported to the Academic Affairs Office for examination and approval, and the Academic Affairs Office will report them to the principal in charge for examination and approval. Students who are approved to change their major can study in the following week. Specifically, it shall be handled in accordance with Article 8 of these Measures.

Those who meet the requirements in paragraphs 2-6 of Article 2 of these Measures and do not fall into one of the circumstances in Article 5 shall apply by themselves, attach relevant supporting materials, be examined and signed by the secondary college and relevant departments, and be reported to the principal in charge for approval before going through the formalities of transferring to a major.

Article 7 Handling procedures

1. In the eighth week of each semester, each secondary college will report the number, conditions, assessment methods and time of students changing majors in the next semester to the Academic Affairs Office.

2. In the tenth week of each semester, the Academic Affairs Office will announce the number, conditions, assessment methods and time of students transferred from various colleges.

3. The first week of next semester is the time for secondary colleges to accept the registration and assessment of students majoring in transfer. Students who apply for a major change shall truthfully fill out the Application Form for Undergraduates of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics in triplicate, which will be reviewed and recommended by their secondary colleges and sent to the secondary colleges to take the major change examination organized by the major change colleges. According to the assessment results, the transfer college puts forward the list of transfer students, and after signing the opinions, it will send the application form for transfer students to the Academic Affairs Office, which will report it to the principal in charge for approval and publish the list of transfer students.

4. Students who have been approved to change majors, the second turnover major, will be withdrawn from classes according to the requirements of changing majors.

Thirdly, the teaching management after students change majors.

Article 8 Students who have been approved to change majors shall implement the training plan for changing majors from the semester when they change majors. If you have completed a course with the same name and teaching requirements in the original major before changing majors, and your academic performance is not lower than that in the course of changing majors, you can apply for exemption, and the credits obtained in the original course are valid; Courses whose teaching requirements or academic performance are lower than the syllabus of major-changing courses and courses that have changed majors but have not participated must be retaken; The course credits that have been transferred to the professional teaching plan and are not needed are not recorded in the total graduation credits, but can be recorded in my student status file and credited to the credit tuition. According to the "Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics undergraduate exemption regulations". Students who need to make up more than 16 credits after changing majors are allowed to transfer to the next grade of this major.

Article 9 Students who have been approved to change their major may obtain the graduation certificate of changing their major after completing the courses (links) specified in the training plan for changing their major and meeting the graduation conditions specified by the school in all aspects. For undergraduate graduates who meet the conditions for awarding bachelor's degrees, bachelor's degree certificates corresponding to changing majors will be awarded.

Four. supplementary terms

Article 10 These Measures shall be tried out from grade 2008.

Eleventh these Measures shall be interpreted by the Academic Affairs Office.
