Xidian for short, located in Naken, Xi City, Shaanxi Province, is a national key university of science and engineering directly under the Ministry of Education. Jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China Electronics Technology Corporation, Shaanxi Province and xi City, it ranks among the "double first-class" "21project" and "985 project" universities in China and is selected as the "national construction university".
