Intranet (xiaonei.com) was established in February 2005, which is the earliest campus SNS community in China. June 5438+October 2006 10, Thousand Oaks Company acquired the campus network, and at the end of the same year, it completed the merger of Thousand Oaks Company's 5Q campus network and the campus network, which was officially named as the campus network with the domain name of www.xiaonei.com. At this point, the intranet has become a campus website occupying a monopoly position in the college student market in China.

The founders of the intranet are Tsinghua University and Wang Xing, Wang Huiwen, Lai Binqiang and Tang Yang of Tianjin University.

Network characteristics

One of the most important features of the intranet is to restrict the user registration of specific university IP addresses or university mailboxes, so as to ensure that the vast majority of registered users are college students. After registration, users can paste their own photos, write logs, sign messages and so on. The website encourages college students to register their real names and upload real photos, so that college students can experience the fun of real life online.

media coverage

Campus network has aroused the concern and enthusiasm of college students, and many young students have mentioned the influence of campus network on their lives in their blogs or some online forums. The mass media paid great attention to this phenomenon, and newspapers and magazines such as China Youth Daily, Qilu Evening News, Shanghai Wen Wei Po and Global Entrepreneur made special reports on the intranet.

According to the report of China Youth Daily, "The emergence and popularity of campus SNS community (represented by campus network) reflects to some extent the current college students' call and desire for the authenticity of the network, and also reflects that college students' attitude towards the network is becoming more rational and mature. "

Wang Xing/KLOC-0, CEO of the website, was admitted to the Department of Electronic Engineering in Tsinghua in 1997. After graduation in 200/KLOC-0, he went to the University of Delaware to study for a master's degree. On March 17, 2006, Tom Net Technology Channel conducted an online interview with Wang Xing. The interview was then organized into a report entitled "Wang Xing on Campus Network: If a business is struck by lightning, it must be focused all the time".

At present, the intranet has opened 2000 universities, 1800 high schools and 546 companies. Since the opening of the campus network, websites of the same type have emerged constantly, such as French cotton, Su Feng, Yiduo, Easy Home and so on. However, the functions and pages of other college students' dating websites that emerged in the later period have not made much breakthrough.
