In September 2005, with the approval of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record, it was agreed to establish Shanghai Jianqiao College on the basis of Shanghai Jianqiao Vocational and Technical College. In September 2006, the first batch of undergraduate students reported for admission; On July 20 10, the school was approved as a bachelor's degree awarding unit. In the autumn of 20 15, the school moved from Kangqiao in Pudong to Lingang in Pudong. The development of history
1999 10, Shanghai Jianqiao College held a groundbreaking ceremony in the old campus of Kangqiao. In April 2000, at the initiative of Mr. Zhou Xingzeng, a group of Wenzhou entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic about charity and education jointly raised funds to set up the private Shanghai Jianqiao College.
In April, 20001,the school was approved as "Private Shanghai Jianqiao Vocational and Technical College", which mainly engaged in higher vocational education at the junior college level and was included in the national planned enrollment sequence.
In March 2003, the school was listed as one of the construction units of Shanghai model higher vocational colleges. In April, the name of private Shanghai Jianqiao Vocational and Technical College was changed from "private" to "Shanghai Jianqiao Vocational and Technical College".
