Main responsibilities:

(a) the implementation of national, provincial and municipal laws, regulations and policies on education, formulate normative documents on education in the whole region and organize their implementation.

(two) to formulate the education development plan and annual work plan, put forward the goals and tasks of education reform and development, formulate the annual enrollment plan for basic education, and coordinate and guide the implementation.

(3) Responsible for the construction and management of teachers and education administrative cadres in the whole region, and manage the deployment of teachers, rewards and punishments, promotion, continuing education, professional qualification identification, professional title evaluation, appointment and removal of school leaders, etc. Guide the party building and United front work of regional educational institutions.

(IV) To be responsible for the overall management of district-level education funds, formulate policies for raising education funds, allocating education funds, investing in education infrastructure and charging education fees jointly with relevant departments, supervise the charging work of primary and secondary schools, check the implementation of town (street) financial allocation, be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of education-related data in the whole region, and guide the school's capital construction and financial management.

(five) the comprehensive management of the local compulsory education, senior high school education, vocational education, preschool education (including kindergartens), special education, adult education and ethnic education; Guide the school to carry out education and teaching reform, school-running system reform and school internal management system reform, and be responsible for all kinds of education entrance examinations in the whole region; To guide and manage private education and social forces in the whole region; To examine, approve, register or record the establishment, alteration and termination of schools and other educational institutions.
