Make clear rules
Tell your child clearly which behaviors are acceptable and which are unacceptable. For example, when to go to bed at night, assign housework and so on. Let children know clearly what behavior is appropriate.
Give children autonomy
Give children the opportunity to make their own decisions and handle affairs, such as making a timetable and planning housework. But at the same time, we must ensure that their decisions and behaviors conform to family values and rules.
Teach children to assess risks.
Help children understand the consequences of behavior and let them learn to weigh and choose. For example, if children choose to work overtime at night to finish their homework, they should be reminded to consider that doing so may affect their mental state and health the next day.
Reward and punishment
When children make good decisions and behaviors, give them appropriate rewards, such as praise or small gifts. When they make mistakes, they also need to be punished accordingly, such as temporarily revoking certain privileges or restricting misconduct.
♀? Cultivate self-control
Teach children how to control their emotions and behaviors, such as calm down when they are angry or impatient and obey the rules. We can teach them some emotional adjustment skills, such as meditation or deep breathing.
