Problems in Family Education of Contemporary Preschool Children

(A) unreasonable educational content

Due to the misunderstanding of preschool children's family education concept for a long time, at present, China pays more attention to parenting than education, and pays more attention to knowledge infusion than moral cultivation, which leads to preschool children's lack of good behavior habits, honesty education and basic norm education. Mainly has the following performance:

First, many parents still have a great one-sided understanding of their children's family education. They equate their children's family education with intellectual education. Learning new words, calculating, reciting poems and learning foreign languages are regarded as the main courses of early childhood education, but the cultivation of non-intellectual factors such as children's morality, will, interest and personality is neglected, which has a serious impact on children's life.

Second, many parents attach importance to their children's knowledge learning in family education, but at the same time ignore moral education, which is easy to make their children selfish, ignore social morality, do not know how to take responsibility, and appear interpersonal obstacles in their communication with children of the same age. For example, the current two-child policy makes many eligible families want to have a second child, but this matter is often hindered by the first child, which is a manifestation of children's lack of moral education and selfishness.

(2) Overindulgence of children

Nowadays, parents are generally fond of preschool children, especially at present, a large part of children's family education comes from grandparents who actually care for and take care of their children, and intergenerational education is more about overindulgence and doting on their children. Parents' unprincipled connivance can easily make children have bad habits of willfulness, arrogance and unreasonable troubles, and strengthen them psychologically. At the same time, excessive protection, excessive doting and pampering will make children lose their ability to live, which is not conducive to cultivating children's ability to overcome difficulties and deal with practical affairs. Although the love of parents is the sunshine that catalyzes the germination of children's wisdom and the soil for children to form good quality, if the love of parents exceeds the limit, it is easy to form an unhealthy personality of children. When children are overindulged, parents turn a blind eye to their children's mistakes and are too tolerant, which will cause great changes in children's thoughts, such as being self-centered, not accepting parents' guidance, not admitting mistakes and shirking responsibilities, and not allowing things that they are not satisfied with to happen, which will make other aspects of education more difficult in the future.

(C) weak labor education, rather than doing it for others

Cultivating preschool children's independent living ability and work habits is an important content of preschool children's family education. It can not only enhance children's physique, master basic life knowledge and skills, promote physical development, but also promote children's intellectual development, ideological progress and will development, which is an important link in cultivating children's all-round development. However, in real life, parents first have an excessive sense of protection for their children's weakness, thinking that their children are incapable of completing simple tasks independently. Therefore, all children's work is replaced by their parents, and many children don't even have the opportunity to do such simple things as dressing and eating independently. Over time, children form a wrong cognition and take it for granted that parents should do it for them. After such children come into contact with society, they often evade labor, shirk their responsibilities and are afraid of work and tasks.
