In the 30th year of the Republic of China (A.D. 194 1), it was named "lichuan county Junior Middle School" in August.
1958 added high school, and 1959 changed its name to "Lichuan Middle School in Jiangxi Province".
1977 was renamed as "Jiangxi lichuan county No.1 Middle School".
1980 was listed as a provincial key middle school by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education.
In 2002, the city's college entrance examination ranked first in arts and sciences and second in the list.
In 2005, Fu Bizhen won the top prize in science in Jiangxi Province and was admitted to Tsinghua University with a high score of 684.
