Why is China education the dominant education?
Recently, Tik Tok has set off an upsurge of criticizing Chinese education. When I clicked in, browsed one video after another and studied it carefully, words such as "depression", "sadness" and "only studying abroad can find relief" filled my eyes. They are angry at the oppressive atmosphere and utilitarian growth indicators under China's education. They yearn for western liberal teaching and want to pursue the so-called "happy education". But is education in China really that bad? Or is the western education model really more suitable for us? To explore Chinese-style education, we must know what factors have established China's educational model. In my opinion, it can be discussed from three factors: economy, politics and culture. First of all, from the economic point of view, the so-called "economic foundation determines the superstructure." For the establishment and revision of education model, we must rely on the big "backing" of economy, and education must serve China's economic construction. After all, the talents we have trained through education need to settle down and promote China's economic development. Besides, politics also determines the educational system and purpose of our country. Our education must serve the ruling class, conform to China's basic socialist system and stand firm. With the development of economy, we have a new understanding of education. Because we have seen "high marks and low abilities" and are also faced with the dilemma of "insufficient innovation ability", we have moved from "exam-oriented education" to "quality education", and we have begun to attach importance to the all-round development of students and the cultivation of students' personality. However, we have just begun, and we are still on the road. In the process of revising the educational model and transmitting the educational ideas, it is impossible for every teacher to completely change his educational methods and ideas in a short time, so under the promulgation of principles and policies, educational problems occur frequently. However, the author believes that the improvement of the education model needs to be done step by step. In this process, there are bound to be problems and new contradictions, but we can't completely veto them, let alone resist them with a negative attitude. The emergence of problems and contradictions is a good thing, at least guiding our direction and bringing certainty to the uncertain future. In the face of different national conditions, the author thinks that we can't compare the educational models. Under different population, institutional background, regional culture and development state, we can't see the final result directly without these factors. In addition to the macro analysis, the author thinks that what is reflected behind the education in China is the uneven distribution of educational resources. Regardless of the number of colleges and universities you mentioned, or the uneven educational level in different regions, the uneven distribution of educational resources in China is an objective fact. China is in the primary stage of socialism for a long time, and China is a populous country. It is difficult for us to achieve a fair distribution of educational resources that everyone is satisfied with. Just like President Zhang Guimei, who teaches in Huaping County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, where there is a serious shortage of educational resources, they have never given up hope of getting out of the mountains. Every year, many people walk out of the mountains through the college entrance examination, a means of exam-oriented education, and block the intergenerational transmission of poverty through education. I think that when the objective factors cannot be changed immediately, we can choose to adjust our subjective perspective. Whether it's this attack on China's education, the hot discussion on western education, or the extreme inducement of epidemic prevention and control some time ago, every time we discuss hot issues, we need each of us to maintain a rational and cautious attitude, find problems and solve them. Of course, we should also be alert to the trap of "peaceful evolution of the West". Every step of growth and development is full of difficulties and obstacles, but it is these difficulties and temptations that mark our strength. China is facing a once-in-a-century great change. We need each of us to play an extremely active role. Young people are the freshest blood of the country. As I have seen, Guo Jicheng, a teacher at China University of Political Science and Law, said, "Don't be cynical, talk less, do more with one heart and one mind, and create new fashions of the times". Finally, the author expresses and explains the problem with shallow knowledge and rough language, and is willing to discuss the problem with you, and we will become the problem solvers together.
