Education Index (English: Education Index) is one of the three components of human development index (life expectancy, education level and quality of life) published by the United Nations Development Programme in its Human Development Report every year.

Before 20 10, the education index was measured by the adult literacy rate (2/3 weight) and the comprehensive enrollment rate of primary schools, middle schools and universities (1/3 weight).

Since 20 10, the measurement standard of education index has been changed to the combination of average years of education and expected years of education.

The education index of People's Republic of China (PRC) (PRC) in 20 17 was 0.644 (No.108).
