At the beginning of the article, I introduced my native place and origin in short words, and then, with a change of pen, I said, "Some people don't take the bait when they hear about the giant aojiang; Whoever breaks a whale must use a chicken knife. Therefore, there are talents who can control chaos through the state, and they can practice assisting the position of thighs and arms. If you get it, you will make contributions in time and save the name of the family; If you lose, you will hide your name and lie on the green of a mountain. " It is intended to explain the importance of the emperor's selection of talents and the use of energy, and then begin to introduce his talents. "If a child is naive, he will be different from other children. Bamboo, horse and Artemisia bow are easy to obtain; In Xingtan, I'd rather work tirelessly to cultivate my self-cultivation. But inspirational thinking, learning martial arts every time you live. It is quite strange to get Lin to cross Surabaya; Leopards are slightly better than scorpions and are brave and good at fighting. " He said that he was different from other children since he was a child. He was not playful, inspirational and martial arts, and his chest was full of literary talent. "Winning the battle, winning the word." It is also said that it is possible to "transport Chen's six unique skills and fly an arrow to the green lotus". Strong enemies in the field will stand on their own feet and lower their flags and not attack; The world is full of Confucianism, which can destroy powerful bases from a distance. Run around the world, one step ahead. "As can be seen from these words, Han Xizai did have great ambitions when he was young, but he was easily criticized as an arrogant and unruly person.
At that time, it was Xu Zhimo, the later martyr Li Bian of the Southern Tang Dynasty, who held the actual power in the State of Wu. If Han Xizai wants to be reused, he must first get his appreciation. Lu You's Biography of Han Xizai in the Southern Tang Dynasty said that Han Xizai was "young and dissolute, and failed to leave a name", while Xu Xuan's Epitaph of Han Xizai said that he "looked up to celebrities and was handsome, which was both a crimson irrigation and a land of Jimeng". At that time, many Central Plains people moved south, and most of them were employed. However, Han Xizai was not taken seriously, and served as Chuzhou, Hehe and Changzhou successively, which may be related to the impression he left. Fortunately, Han Xizai was able to shrug off. He felt very comfortable, just traveling and flirting.
Ten years later, in the first year of Shengyuan (937), Li Bian completed his meditation and officially proclaimed himself emperor. This just recalled Han Xizai from other countries to Jinling, the capital of the Southern Tang Dynasty, and appointed him as a doctor and the prince in charge of the Eastern Palace. Langzhong, in terms of six products, is in charge of the works of the National Library, but Han Xizai was sent to the Prince's East Palace, which shows that Li Bian still has doubts about him. From what Li Bian said to Han Xizai, we can also see this meaning. He said, "Although Qing has just entered the examination hall, he has never experienced the world, so he ordered you to work in the county. Today, I hope you can be good at self-cultivation and help my son. "
However, Han Xizai doesn't think so. Later, after Li Jing ascended the throne, he once said to people, "The first emperor knew me and didn't use it because I was a screen guest." Han Xizai's father is an observer and belongs to the series of curtain officials. Han Xizai's implication is that he didn't realize the real reason why he wasn't reused because of his low family background. Li Bian himself was born in the lower class. How can he choose people by their family background? He highly valued Song and others, many of whom were born in common people and had low family background. How can they hold another set of standards for Han Xizai? Li Bian lived a simple life, was cautious and didn't like publicity, while Han Xizai was aloof and informal, so it was naturally difficult to gain Li Bian's appreciation. It can be seen that no matter how smart a person is, it is easy to know others, but it is difficult to really know himself.
Because of this, Han Xizai has no gratitude or praise for his promotion. Every day, he talks with Prince Li Jing in the East Palace, writes papers and poems, and his life is comfortable. Han Xizai stayed in the East Palace for seven years, and the long-term relationship with the Prince made Li Jing have a further understanding of Han Xizai's talents, which was a great misfortune for Han Xizai.
In the first year of Baoda (943), Li Bian died and Prince Li Jing acceded to the throne. Because Han Xizai was an old minister of the East Palace, Li Jing was appointed as a Royal Guards and a member of the Historical Museum at the beginning of his reign, and he was given a fee. Although Yuan Wailang is still Liu Pin's official position, he is, after all, a Langguan in Shangshu Province, an upright official in the Tang and Five Dynasties, and has a better promotion prospect. During the Tang and Five Dynasties, it was stipulated that officials with more than five items could wear scarlet robes. Han Xizai is a six-product official. According to the regulations, he can't bring a fee, so Li Jing specially gave him a fee to wear a robe like a five-product official. Because of the new funeral of the late Lord and the new emperor's accession to the throne, Excavate added the post of Doctor Tai Chang to Han Xizai. This official position holds five rites and imitates posthumous title. It is the academic authority of the country in etiquette, which shows Li Jing's admiration for Han Xizai. Before that, Han Xizai never asked about politics except about poetry. In order to repay Excavate, Han Xizai showed all his life experiences at this time, and he actively participated in all the important events that should be carried out.
According to the ancient ritual system in China, after the death of the emperor, a temple name must be drawn up. The Southern Tang claimed to be a descendant of the royal family in the Tang Dynasty, so some people thought that Li Bian's temple name should be named "Zong". Han Xizai, Si Men Langzhong and General Gui Zhong all thought that Li Bian was the king of ZTE and should be called "the ancestor", so they decided that Li Bian's temple name was "the ancestor". In this matter, Han Xizai's actions won the favor of Excavate. But Han Xizai is not good at catering, and it is impossible to satisfy Excavate in everything.
At the beginning of Li Jing's accession to the throne, he changed the title of the first year to Baoda. Han Xizai believed that according to the ritual system, the new emperor could only change the yuan in the second year after he ascended the throne. He also said, "If the RMB is changed in these years, the ancient system will also be changed. Why teach people? " Excavate rejected Han Xizai's suggestion on the grounds that the imperial edict had been issued and it was inconvenient to change it. Although Han Xizai was not recognized by Excavate, his generosity did not affect his trust in Han Xizai. During this period, Han Xizai corrected more than a dozen bad manners and did his duty as a doctor. For Han Xizai's performance, Excavate saw it in his eyes, so he ordered Han Xizai to make an imperial edict with this official power, entrusting him with a heavier responsibility.
According to the system of the Tang and Five Dynasties, there were six people in the book, one of whom was responsible for drafting the imperial edict, which was called the imperial edict. If other officials are in charge of this work, it is called knowing the patent at the same time, or knowing the patent at the same time. Han Xizai's appointment to this post not only shows Li Jingzhu's trust in him, but also greatly increases his power. The imperial edict drafted by Han Xizai is elegant and harmonious, which is highly praised by public opinion. Han Xizai is a scholar after all. Once he is reused, he only knows how to serve his country wholeheartedly and has no idea how to protect himself. Since he accepted the imperial edict, he has been grateful to God for understanding this situation. He repeatedly criticized the major events in the DPRK, or refuted the disrespectful points, or criticized the shortcomings, which caused great jealousy and dissatisfaction among the powerful people in the DPRK, especially Song Dynasty, thus making his future career full of ups and downs.
In August of the fourth year of Baoda (946), Chen Jue, the envoy of the Tang Dynasty, dispatched soldiers from Ting, Jian, Fu and Xin to attack Fuzhou without authorization. China leader Li Jing was afraid of losing and ordered Wang Chongwen, Wei Cen and Feng Lingbing to attack Fuzhou together. In March of the following year, due to the efforts of the generals and the reinforcements of Wu Yuejun, Nantang's troops were defeated and suffered heavy losses. In April, Li Jing wrote to kill Feng and others, and Song and others mediated from it, even avoiding death, and exiled him to Zhou Shu. During the remonstrance, Cheng Jiangwen Wei impeached the Prime Minister and Wei Cen, encouraged them to attack Fuzhou and punished them. As a result, he was demoted to Jiangzhou Judge to join the army. In this war, Song He, a veteran of the Southern Tang Dynasty, greatly expanded his territory, which contributed to the launch of this war. So Han Xizai and Xu Xuan were named Song and Feng Zhengming, and Wei Cen became cronies, which brought disaster to the country and people, and demanded that Feng and others be punished according to law. Excavate had to demote Feng Yansi as the Prince of Shaofu and Wei Cen as the Prince of Washing Horse. However, Wei Cen was quickly reinstated and was appointed as Zhao's special envoy.
Song and others were already dissatisfied with Han Xizai, and Han Xizai's actions deepened their jealousy. A few days later, Song personally falsely accused Han Xizai of drinking. In fact, Han Xizai is not good at drinking. Due to the great influence of the Song Party at this time, Excavate had to demote Han Xizai to join the army as a state judge, and was soon transferred to Xuanzhou to push the officer.
After staying abroad for several years, he was transferred back to Jinling to take charge of the security department, which was equivalent to turning around and returning to his original office. Later, starting from Yuan Wailang, he was gradually promoted to a doctor and historian in the dangerous department. Because Han Xizai, after all, was an old courtier of the Lord Excavate when he was a prince, and he was quite talented, so Excavate gave him purple, that is, he could wear a purple robe that only officials with the doctrine or above could wear. According to the Tang system, six assistant ministers, Zhongshu, assistant ministers and other important officials who have not achieved the three products can be sealed with purple when necessary, while Han Xizai is only a doctor with five products and can be sealed with purple, which shows that Li Jing still trusts him and paves the way for further promotion. Sure enough, soon, Han Xizai was promoted to Mr. Scheeren and assistant minister of the Ministry of Finance.
Since the 13th year of self-protection (955), the army of the Later Zhou Dynasty attacked Huainan, losing the army of the Southern Tang Dynasty in a row, and the leader of China, Li Jing, sent envoys for peace several times, all of which failed. The following year, Excavate appointed his younger brother, King Li Jingda of Qi, as the marshal of various military forces, and Chen Jue as the supervisor, leading the army to resist Zhou Jun. Han Xizai always knew that Chen Juezhi was a great talent, and he was jealous of virtue. In the past, he led troops to capture Fuzhou, and the defeat was like a mountain, which greatly weakened the national strength of Nantang, so Shangshu resolutely opposed it. He said: "You don't need to be a prince, and you don't need to appoint a military governor!" Because the late leader Li Bian once intended to make Li Jingda a a prince, although this matter failed to be implemented, it formed a shadow in Li Jingda's heart after all, and it was not completely at ease to hand over the relieving to Li Jingda, so he sent Chen Jiao to contain it. In this case, Han Xizai's exhortation will not be adopted, but Excavate's opinionated opinion has laid a great hidden danger for the military fiasco in Nantang.
Although the troops in the Southern Tang Dynasty suffered repeated defeats and wars during this period, due to the deterioration of military discipline in the later Zhou Dynasty, they burned, killed and looted everywhere, which aroused the resistance of Huainan people. They automatically took up arms and attacked Zhou Jun everywhere. In addition, Zhou Shizong once returned to the capital of song dynasty, and many counties lost in southern Tang dynasty were recovered one after another. Liu Ren, Shouzhou Shouzhou Shoujiang in the Southern Tang Dynasty, successfully sent troops to attack Zhou Jun, who besieged the city, killing tens of thousands of people and burning countless instruments. Under favorable circumstances, Liu Ren Khan sent someone to Haozhou, where Li Jingda was stationed, and requested to send a general to guard Shouzhou, so as to lead the army out of the city to fight against Zhou Jun. Due to Chen Jue's interference, Liu Ren's request for support was not approved and he was depressed. At this point, Zhou Jun from all over the country retreated in succession, ready to concentrate on capturing Shouzhou. The generals in the Southern Tang Dynasty took the opportunity to attack Zhou Jun according to the risk requirements, but the North Korean authorities were worried that the situation would expand and were not allowed to act, which led to Zhou Jun's safe retreat to Zhengyang and made the siege of Shouzhou even more difficult to recover. Although Li Jingda is a marshal, he is subject to Chen Jue everywhere. The military and political power is actually in the hands of Chen Jue, but Chen Jue has fifty thousand troops and has no intention of decisive battle, so he will be afraid of his strength, and no one dares to speak. Just as the two sides were at loggerheads, Zhu Yuan, the general of the Southern Tang Dynasty, defected to the enemy, which led to the situation being out of control.
Here's the thing. Zhu Yuan was ordered to guard the northwest of Huainan, and even went to Shu and He states to station troops in Zijin Mountain. Zhu Yuanshan caressed the foot soldiers, shared joys and sorrows with them, swore to the public in every battle, and all the foot soldiers died effectively. Chen Jue and Zhu Yuan were at odds, and Zhu Yuan's secret performance was not credible, so it was impossible to pay military force. Therefore, Li Jing, the leader of China, ordered Yang Shouzhong to replace Zhu Yuan's army. After Yang Shouzhong went to the front, Chen Jue, in the name of Li Jingda, called Zhu Yuan to Haozhou to discuss in an attempt to seize his military power. When Zhu Yuan heard these words, he was so angry that he wanted to commit suicide. His followers advised him to surrender to the Zhou Dynasty, and Zhu Yuan then led more than 10,000 people from his headquarters to the Zhou Dynasty. Zhu Yuan's surrender led to the collapse of the troops in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and they fled eastward along the Huaihe River. They were stopped by Zhou Jun, who had been ambushed in advance. More than 40,000 people died and surrendered, and countless ships and equipment were abandoned. Li Jingda and Yang Shouzhong fled back to Jinling in panic, while Bian Gao, xu wen hua and other generals were captured. Shouzhou reinforcements were cut off, Shoujiang Liu Ren died of indignation, and Shouzhou fell. The rest of the States will abandon the city and flee, and the warships in the later Zhou Dynasty will go straight into the Yangtze River and set the river surface. The Southern Tang Dynasty was completely defeated, so we had to cede the fourteen states of Huainan to Hou Zhou and pay tribute to them.
China leader Li Jing did not listen to Han Xizai's admonition, which eventually led to defeat. From then on, the Southern Tang Dynasty was poor and weak, and was in a passive situation. In order to avoid the threat of the Central Plains dynasty, Li Jing was forced to move the capital to Hongzhou (now Nanchang, Jiangxi), unhappy and finally died of illness.
After Li Yu ascended the throne, he appointed Han Xizai as assistant minister of the official department, who also studied national history. Soon after, because of the change of coins, Han Xizai and Prime Minister Xu Yan had a dispute over the command, and Han Xizai's words and expressions were broken, which shocked the court. Later, because of his rudeness, he was appointed as the head of the secretary. In less than a year, he was re-appointed as the assistant minister of the official department, and was promoted to the minister of war as a bachelor of Qin Zhengting. Later, because he was broad-minded and unrestrained, he was impeached and demoted to the son of heaven, and was divided into Du Nan, which was placed in Hongzhou. Han Xizai went to the table to beg for mercy, so he was left to return to his old job.
During this period, Han Xizai still remained arrogant, because the late master Li Yu was magnanimous, kind-hearted and tolerant of everything, and the monarch and his subjects could still live in peace. For example, when the late Lord Zhou Xiao held a grand banquet in the palace, Han Xizai wrote poems to satirize them, but Li Yu did not condemn them. On one occasion, Li Yu hunted in Qinglong Mountain, and after returning to Jinling, he personally went to Dali Temple to see the prisoners held, many of whom were pardoned. Han Xizai wrote to protest again, arguing that the matter was the responsibility of the judicial department, and that the prison was not the place where the monarch should stay, and asked the latter to pay a fine of 3 million yuan to pay for military expenses. The latter did not blame him. In May of the first year of Kaibao (968), Han Xizai wrote five volumes of Maxims and three volumes of Epilogue of Maxims, which were presented to Li Yu, the late ruler, and summarized on them "On the Essence of Criminal Politics, the Trend of Ancient and Modern Times and the Change of Disasters". Li Yu appreciated it very much after reading it, so he was promoted to assistant minister of Zhongshu and bachelor of canon, which was the highest office held by Han Xizai before his death.
Han Xizai was never afraid of powerful people and had a humorous personality. When Song came to power, he thought that the article was gorgeous and could be inscribed for others. And Han Xizai, because stereotyped writing is particularly good, so the text was drafted by Song and written by Han Xizai. Every time Han Xizai undertook this task, he stuffed his nose with paper. Someone asked why. Answer: "Words stink and stink." Another advantage of Han Xizai is that he likes to reward underachievers. So people often submit articles for advice. When he meets an article with poor writing style, he lets the poetess smoke it. When he met the seeker, he deliberately criticized and said, "How come your masterpiece is so full of love!" " It is reported that when he was sent to the Central Plains, someone asked: "Why don't Jiangnan people eat skinned sheep?" Han Xizai replied: "This is because Jiangnan produces more Luo Qi." At that time, the questioner didn't understand its meaning, but when he woke up, Han Xizai had been gone for many days.
According to the four-year record of Jade Pot and Flower Green, Gu Tao was sent to Jiangnan to observe the truth and falsehood in the last week. Gu Tao looked majestic in front of the monarchs and ministers in the Southern Tang Dynasty, and never laughed and laughed between banquets, which made him look respectable. Han Xizai said to his relatives and friends, "I have experienced a lot and have been an official for many years. Why did Tao Gong do this? " I don't think this man is an honest man. Please look at him. I have a way to expose him. So Qin, a geisha, pretended to be the daughter of a courier, an old-fashioned hairpin, and swept the courtyard in the inn in the morning and evening. "。 Qin is beautiful, even in the palace, there are few such beauties. Seeing its beauty, Gu Tao asked about its family background. Qin said to him, "Unfortunately for my concubine, my husband died and I have nowhere to go. I entrusted it to my parents, who are the gatekeepers of the inn. " Gu Tao's love of beauty became a good thing, and presented a poem "Good Spring". A few days later, master Li Jing gave a banquet in Chengxin Hall, ordered a huge glass cup to fill it with wine, and invited Gu Tao to drink it. Gu Tao ignored it, so Li Jing called Qin Relan to dinner and asked him to sing the words that Gu Tao had done the day before yesterday:
Good marriage, bad marriage, but which day, just slept in the post office? Don't be a fairy, the harp plays the sound of acacia, and there are few bosom friends. When did this string break? After hearing this, Gu Tao could only smile with shame, and never dared to shirk it again. He even drank and drank, but the monarch and subjects of Nantang still refused to give up. For this reason, Gu Tao was despised by the monarch of China, Li Jing. On the day he returned to the north, only a few small officials were ordered to hold a thin banquet in the suburbs and send him away. By the time Gu Tao returned to the capital of song dynasty, what he had done and written in the southern Tang dynasty had spread all over the capital of song dynasty. It is also for this reason that Gu Tao has never been reused.
Regarding this matter, the magazine Qingbo written by Song Renzhou thinks it may be untrue. Nevertheless, because this story can reflect Han Xizai's style of dealing with people, it is attached here.
In October of the second year of Song Taizu Stegosaurus (96 1), Han Xizai was ordered to go to the Central Plains to attend the funeral of the Empress Dowager Song with Taifu Qingtianlin. Living in the Song Dynasty for a long time, Han Xizai wrote a poem on the wall of the inn, saying: I was originally from Jiangbei, but now I am a guest from Jiangnan.
I didn't know him when I returned to Jiangbei.
The breeze blows me cold, and the bright moon is white for whom.
Might as well go home, someone in Jiangnan remembers. There is also a different record that he wrote two poems. In addition to the first one, there is another one: if you don't arrive at your hometown, say your hometown is good.
It is better to go home with the people closest to you than to get away with it.
I don't know anyone at present, and my arm hurts when I go in and out.
The autumn wind and rain of the hotel rustled and fell to the window.
In my dream, I suddenly went to Jiangnan Road and found my old home in Beijing.
Peach-faced moths went out with a smile and rushed to the door to hold them. Whether these two poems were written by Han Xizai is uncertain, especially the latter one. But these two poems objectively reflected Han Xizai's mentality at that time, because Han Xizai left his hometown when he was young, and all his old friends died, and his wife and children were in the south of the Yangtze River. In addition, it is natural that Han Xizai, who is over 60 years old, misses Jiangnan and wants to go home.
It's hard to say depressed-addicted to wine, feeling helpless.
Han Xizai is a man with great political ambitions, and his knowledge and insight are unique. Since he became an official in Nantang, he has made many suggestions, but he always hits the nail on the head. However, during Li Yu's reign, the Southern Tang Dynasty was in jeopardy, but Li Yu did not want to make a difference. Knowing that the general trend is irreversible, Han Xizai indulges himself in singing and dancing, which is intolerable to the ruling and opposition parties and is not commensurate with the status of a court official.
Han Xizai's family is rich. In addition to his generous monthly salary, his articles are very well written and his titles are widely circulated. There are many nobles, literati, monks and Taoists in the south of the Yangtze River. They asked him to write a memorial tablet with gold silk, and some even asked for a dollar. Together with the emperor's reward, Han Xizai became one of the few rich courtiers in the Southern Tang Dynasty. It is because Han Xizai's family is rich that they have the conditions to raise geisha music, attract guests, feast and dance. After the family wealth was exhausted, it remained unchanged. Every time I get a monthly salary, I am scattered among prostitutes, so that I have nothing. At this time, he will put on rags, pretend to be blind, hold a dulcimer, and let his favorite pupil, Shu Ya, take the board and knock and knock, begging from door to door. Everyone is used to it. Sometimes, when meeting prostitutes and other classmates, Han Xizai refused to come in, laughing and saying that he didn't dare to disturb your good interest. As a result, some geisha concubines rushed to the guest's sleeping place at night, and the guest had a poem: "The most important thing is not to stay in the fifth watch and put clothes on your head."
Han Xizai's behavior, deliberately caused the bohemian, unbearable reuse. But he is a big family after all, and begging like a game alone can't solve the problem. Unable to live, and helpless, I had to cry to my late master, but my late master Li Yu was not satisfied and gave him the money in the national treasury. So Han Xizai simply didn't go to court, was impeached, demoted to the right bastard, and was assigned to Du Nan, namely Yu Hongzhou. Han Xizai chased all the geisha, rode his bike on the road and begged for mercy. When the late master asked him to stay, all the geisha he had chased came back one after another, and Han Xizai returned to the days of debauchery. Li Yu sighed: I don't know what to do.
Han Xizai was brilliant, once determined to serve the country, but he was dissolute, which made people have to speculate a lot.
Li Yu once wanted to worship Han Xizai, which is recorded in many ancient books, such as History of the Song Dynasty, History of the New Five Dynasties, History of Zi Zhi as a Mirror, Records of Shan Ye, Hunan, Jade Pot Tsinghua, Lu You Nan Tang Shu, etc. It should be true, and this is probably why Li Yu sent someone to Han Xizai's house to paint a picture of life at the banquet. Under many rumors, Li Yu wants to know the truth in order to determine whether to reuse it. Gu probably received such a task. In the evening, he stole a look, kept his eyes in mind and drew more pictures. There is another saying, which can be found in A Supplement to the History of the Five Dynasties, that Han Xizai's life in his later years was poor, and he made the guests worship, let the maid pick him up first, or molested him, or beat him, or fought for his boots, all of which failed. Later, Han Xizai came out slowly and became accustomed to it. At the same time, there are several burnt doctor monks who come to the room to mix with the maids. The late leader Li Yu was very angry, but because Han Xizai was a minister of the DPRK, he didn't want to point fingers, so he ordered him to draw a letter, which made him feel ashamed. Anyway, from this perspective, Li Yu, the late master, understood the purpose of Han Xizai nightlife out of goodwill, either trying to reuse it or urging it to correct it.
As for the real reason why Han Xizai indulged in debauchery and avoided worshipping, Lu You's Biography of Han Xizai in the Southern Tang Dynasty and Talking about Rock Fishing all said: Han Xizai "thought that the Central Plains Dynasty had been eyeing Jiangnan, and once the only thrill appeared, we didn't even have time to abandon our armor. In this case, how can I accept worship and become a joke forever? " During this period, Han Xizai's political ambitions and ideals were completely shattered, and the fate of national subjugation and becoming a prisoner was imminent. The intricate contradictions and pains in his personal heart and objective reality tormented him, leaving him no other way out than to entertain himself with music. That's why we saw that Han Xizai at the banquet was not in a happy mood, but showed a sad and heavy-hearted expression.
In the third year of Song Taizu Kaibao (970), Han Xizai died at the age of 69. Although unofficial history also recorded that he was murdered to death, these are nonsense and not acceptable. After all, Han Xizai was sixty-nine years old when he died, which was considered an old age in ancient society. In addition, he is depressed in his later years and is likely to die.
After Han Xizai's death, Li Yu regretted it very much and wanted to give him a flat official position. So he asked the left and right generations if there was such a precedent, and the left and right replied that Liu used to run a government office and had a third department. So the imperial edict gave Zhang Ping, Han Xizai's left servant, the position of prime minister, calling him "Wen Jing", which was already an excellent posthumous title in ancient times. Han Xizai's family was poor when he died, and all the coffins and clothes were given by his late master. The late Lord also ordered people to choose a cemetery for him, demanding that it must be "Fengmei, Xianmei, or similar to the ancient fairy mountain, making it a quiet spring outing platform." Later, he was buried next to the tomb of Xie 'an, a famous minister of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in Meiyiling. Li Yu also asked Xu Xuan, a famous scholar in the Southern Tang Dynasty, to write an epitaph for Han Xizai, and Xu Kai was responsible for collecting his legacy and compiling an integrated book. This treatment is a great honor for me.
