In the aspect of self-cultivation education, ancient Taoism in China put forward the principles of self-cultivation, such as "keeping simplicity and truth", "being weak and not arguing", advocating frugality and no desire, advocating the educational methods of "teaching without words", "promoting morality through practice" and the self-cultivation methods of "being silent in vain" and "abandoning wisdom and silence". These thoughts contain many reasonable elements, which have a positive impact on the development of self-cultivation education in China.
