Huaqiao University Xiamen Campus, located in jimei district, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, started construction in 2004 and was officially put into use in 2006. Building the Xiamen Campus of Huaqiao University is an important decision made by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council to further play the role of Huaqiao University in overseas Chinese affairs, and it is also a strategic deployment for Huaqiao University to vigorously develop Chinese education, expand enrollment scale, improve the level of running schools, and further improve the work of "serving overseas Chinese".
Huaqiao University Quanzhou Campus is located in Fengze District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Huaqiao University is a comprehensive university founded by the state in 1960 under the care of Premier Zhou Enlai. Directly under the leadership of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the school is a key university built by the China Municipal Government and one of the first batch of excellent universities evaluated by the Ministry of Education. It is also the main base for overseas Chinese education and the national cultural quality education base for college students.
Xiamen Campus is a science and engineering major. Except for a few exceptions, the School of Mathematics is in Quanzhou and the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences is in Xiamen. Quanzhou is an old campus, and Xiamen is a new campus, with relatively new living facilities and a dormitory with four rooms.
