Our research topic is the consumption of middle school students. The purpose and significance of this study is to understand the personal consumption of senior high school students in our city, find out the source and expenditure of students' personal consumption, overcome extravagance and waste, develop good consumption habits, and establish and carry forward the fine tradition and virtue of thrift.
Participants in this study are:
Team leader: Ge Xinyu
Deputy Team Leaders: Huang Liting, Shen Yilin and Guo Junyi
Member: Wang Jiafu Jiafei Pan Jinjing Yan Yuxi
Instructor: Sun
Our research-based learning activities are divided into five stages:
The first stage: determine the topic and tutor.
Consumption is everywhere, and we middle school students have to spend it every day. Consumption is very close to us, so under the discussion of everyone, we have determined the topic of our research study-the consumption of middle school students. With the consent of our political teacher Sun, she will be the instructor of our research study.
The second stage: designing and distributing the questionnaire.
After the project was established, we conducted an orderly division of labor:
Design questionnaire: Huang Liting, Wang Jia
Photography: Ge Jinjing
Data collection: Yan Yuxi, Shen Yilin
Making and playing ppt: Guo Junyi
Logistics: Fu Jiafei
In order to make our topic more convincing, we have been rushing for our respective tasks for several months. In order to get more information, we sent questionnaires to different middle schools, including Gaohai, Haining No.1 Middle School, Nanyuan, Weizi and Haizhong. We have paid a lot and used many methods. Finally, we got all the data and information we needed.
Regarding the consumption of middle school students, we obtained some data from various schools through questionnaires. Someone in the data group is responsible for asking and copying the questionnaire, and the one who knows other students is responsible for distributing the questionnaire to all schools and asking her classmates to help distribute and collect it. Although the questionnaire is troublesome, it can well reflect the problems and situations of middle school students' consumption. Therefore, although the process was very hard, we persisted.
The third stage: access to relevant information and analyze the results of the questionnaire.
We sent two members to look for relevant information. One of them went to the library to look for legal information about consumption, the other went online to look for information about middle school students' consumption, and discussed the problem of middle school students' consumption with netizens online, from which they learned how to solve some unfavorable factors and their views on middle school students' consumption, as well as some good suggestions
The fourth stage: taking photos and videos.
But these are not very convincing, so we also took photos and made interviews.
Because the school is not allowed to bring cameras, we borrowed a digital camera from the instructor and took pictures inside and outside the school. We filmed a lively scene while having lunch in the school cafeteria. In addition, we also took the same lively photos in the supermarket and jewelry store outside the school at about the same time.
Later, we invited several students from our school to be interviewed by us. After that, we found our instructor and asked her to accept our interview, asking her to talk about her views on the consumption problem of middle school students now.
The fifth stage: synthesize the material and make ppt.
Our group put forward this topic because in daily life, it is always easy for us to see some middle school students spending money like water, and students always keep up with the joneses, never thinking about how difficult it is for mom and dad to make money. But some students are simple and practical. In addition, we learned the knowledge about consumption in the political class, which immediately caught our attention and wanted to correct the consumption of middle school students through this activity.
We analyzed the data by recycling questionnaires and got the following results:
A January expenses (including meals) are less than 300 yuan, and more than 300-600,600 yuan. B. Expenditure is mainly concentrated on snacks, clothes, school supplies, daily necessities and others. C. the concept of consumption is to plan consumption well, not to squander and save. D. when spending money, don't think about anything. First, think about what you don't spend. First, think about how much money you spent. E. when buying clothes, buy them if you like, if you need them, and if they are suitable. F. When the store is promoting sales, it will buy what it likes, buy it cheaply, buy it practically, and don't buy it. G. Students choose to make their own birthday gifts, buy cheap and affordable gifts, and choose more expensive gifts. H when buying goods, people will pay more attention to price, quality, packaging and service attitude. First, people who often bargain when buying things, people who bargain occasionally when buying things, and people who never bargain when buying things. J the proportion of people who frequented roadside stalls, those who occasionally patronized roadside stalls and those who never patronized roadside stalls. K. Proportion of people who frequently use disposable items, people who generally use disposable items, people who occasionally use disposable items and people who never use disposable items. L those who know consumer rights very well, those who know consumer rights generally, and those who don't know consumer rights.
Through research and analysis, it can be found that middle school students' consumption is generally greater than their expenditure, and they lack correct expenditure plans. Almost every middle school student has experienced human consumption, and the expenses paid are increasing day by day, which has caused a kind of economic burden to middle school students. At the same time, the incorrect consumption concept leads middle school students to spend money like water, students with good family economy spend money lavishly, and students with poor family economy can't help it and spend too much. Parents don't know much about students' expenses, which leads to the bad idea of "eat, drink and be merry, be unscrupulous and have no money to spend". This is bound to do great harm to the future life and development of middle school students. This is a social crisis, and this "highly contagious" and "highly harmful" problem must be thoroughly solved!
From the statistics of consumption expenditure, the following conclusions can be drawn:
(1). Private schools are called "aristocratic schools" in society, and those of us who study in aristocratic schools naturally become aristocratic children. However, according to the survey, most students do not have this sense of superiority, because 88.09% of them think their family economic situation is "medium" and "average", and only 6.55% think their family economic situation is "very rich".
(2) All students have discretionary pocket money every month, accounting for 47.02% below 50 yuan and 44.05% between 50- 100 yuan. Pocket money mainly comes from the initiative of parents or other elders. This reflects the care of parents for their children, and it can also be said that parents are a kind of sustenance for their children who are far away from their own study abroad.
(3) There are two main destinations for pocket money: one is to buy snacks, accounting for 52.38%, which fully reflects the greedy nature of teenagers; The second is to buy school supplies, accounting for 26.79%, which shows that while solving greed, I have not forgotten to buy some learning materials and supplies for myself.
(4) The use of pocket money is completely controlled by oneself, but there is no plan and control. Only 26.79% have a plan, others are unplanned or unrestrained.
Through the statistics of consumption view, we can see that the consumption view of middle school students has the following characteristics:
(1). Pursuing real loans, they are afraid of being cheated by buying fake loans, because the first place they buy goods is supermarkets, accounting for 50%, followed by specialty stores, accounting for 17.86%.
(2) Know how to enjoy life. You should not only meet your own needs, but also be practical and comfortable. Nearly half of the students regard "comfort" as the first choice for purchasing goods; "Self-interest" and "applicability" are the two major factors that affect their purchase of goods, accounting for 40.48% and 30.95% respectively; "Self-demand" is the main factor affecting the consumption concept, accounting for 55.95%.
(3) Do not pursue famous brands, but pay attention to fashion. 42.86% of the students' attitude towards brand-name clothing is "of course it is good to have it, but there is no need to have it", and 3 1.55% of the students hold the attitude of "it doesn't matter"; 4 1.67% of the students' clothing grade is "medium" and 30.95% is "average"; The frequency of changing clothes within six months to one year is 69.64%, accounting for more than 2/3, and only 29. 17% people have been wearing clothes for about 2 years.
Through this survey, we find that although we "aristocratic" children who study in "aristocratic schools" have a certain amount of pocket money every month, we are not as extravagant and unrestrained as most people think: we have a lot of money in our hands and we don't cherish the fruits of our parents' labor at all. Buying snacks is the number one destination for students' pocket money. As we all know, eating snacks leads to irregular diet, which is harmful to the healthy growth of teenagers, so the school has repeatedly banned eating snacks. Since snacks are strictly prohibited in schools, why does it become the biggest consumption for students to buy snacks? According to the inquiry and observation, we know that there are two sources of snacks, one is to bring snacks in secretly by buying school supplies, and the other is to ask teachers to buy them. Therefore, we suggest that on the one hand, schools should conscientiously implement the rules and regulations formulated, on the other hand, teachers should not exchange "human feelings" with students. Every student has his own pocket money, with 47.02% below 50 yuan and 44.05% with 50- 100 yuan. We think this figure is too much, because boarding schools provide food and accommodation, and there is almost no need for other expenses except school supplies. Too much pocket money, most of which is used to buy snacks, is not only harmful to the healthy development of the body, but also not conducive to young people to develop a good character and style of hard work, frugality and thrift. Socialization is also a big expense for students. Too much and too frequent interpersonal communication will not only cost money, but also affect study. We suggest: as middle school students, we should focus on our studies and don't involve secular things too early.
As the saying goes, parents are children's first teachers, and their words and deeds have a subtle influence on children. Therefore, we hope that even if the family conditions are good, parents should develop the habit of thrift and set a good example for their children.
Through the investigation of students around us, we think that the current consumption view of high school students is rational, emotional, generally healthy and has their own opinions. This is a gratifying phenomenon.
I hope that with the growth of age and the increase of disposable funds, I can spend more rationally.
1, from junior high school students themselves.
First of all, we should have a good psychological quality. Junior high school students are at the age of long knowledge and long body, and they are immature in physical and psychological aspects, which will inevitably lead to various unhealthy consumption phenomena. The survey shows that junior high school students' consumption is blind. For example, some students like to show off in front of their classmates, spend a lot of money, and even compare with others, just to show off the wealth at home or to get the attention of the opposite sex. And some students who are relatively simple in all aspects of life have been labeled as "poor ghosts". These phenomena are all caused by students' personal vanity. Therefore, junior high school students should establish a correct outlook on life, world outlook and values, correct bad consumption habits and improve the scientific nature of consumption.
2. From the perspective of family education.
Parents should guide their children's consumption correctly. Family is a child's first school. Parents were the first teachers who had a great influence on them. Parents' words and deeds, including consumption view, play a key role in the formation of children's consumption view. As there are more and more only children, parents' excessive doting on their children has a bad influence on them. The survey shows that these child-centered families, regardless of whether their children's consumption requirements are justified or not, will meet their children's consumption requirements, which invisibly stimulates their higher consumption desire, which is equivalent to conniving children into consumption misunderstandings and causing various abnormal consumption. It is more important for parents to teach their children some principles of being a man than to give them money.
4. From a social point of view.
We should strengthen the improvement of social order and provide a good consumption environment for students. At present, the diversification of social consumption and the commercialization of social activities are becoming more and more common. Driven by economic interests, many media cater to the wishes of businesses and vigorously promote various commodities. Merchants' "bait" misled consumers. Many of these illegal commodities are undoubtedly a threat to the physical and mental health of teenagers. Many businesses ignore the interests of consumers in pursuit of profits. All these bad phenomena are rampant in society. All walks of life should unite to strengthen the management of cultural market, provide healthy and civilized spiritual food for junior high school students, strengthen the management of various entertainment places such as Internet cafes and business dance halls, and guide junior high school students to spend scientifically and rationally. At the same time, it is necessary to increase the items suitable for junior high school students to make their consumption moderate.
In a word, the establishment of the correct consumption view of junior middle school students needs the joint efforts of individuals, families, schools and society, and the consumption mentality can subtly influence a person's value orientation and moral sentiment. We should attach great importance to improving junior high school students' financial management ability and let us become the masters of money.
Through this research study, we deeply understand the necessity and importance of financial education for students, and also gain a lot of knowledge in this field. Concept is not static, it will change slowly in people's behavior, and behavior will in turn affect people's concept. That's how consumption works. Influenced by both internal and external factors, we should look at it from a developmental perspective.
Activities cultivate the practice and cooperation spirit of our team members, thus improving our social activity ability.
Middle school students shoulder the hope of the country and are the masters of the future society. Therefore, the development direction of middle school students can not be ignored. People often say that our generation is a "beat generation". This statement comes not only from the evaluation of students' thoughts, but also from the evaluation of students' pursuit of material enjoyment over spirit.
The consumption of middle school students has gradually become the backbone of market consumption, but there are many problems in this trend, because the vast majority of consumption is unreasonable. The reason for this phenomenon is that there are ideological misunderstandings in the consumption of middle school students. Through investigation, we summarized several consumption psychology of middle school students:
1, novelty. Dress up to pursue fashion and personality, thinking that it will not be outdated and follow the trend.
2. follow the crowd. See many people wearing a certain style, or many people want to use it to buy things.
3. blindness. And buy useless things. Mostly out of interest or impulse.
It is precisely because of these psychology that businesses see opportunities, so in order to increase profits purposefully, businesses use the star effect to flaunt their products and issue so-called fashion and trend slogans to attract the attention of middle school students. In this colorful and dazzling commodity, middle school students are caught in the whirlpool of consumption, and the bad consumption psychology is further upgraded, which makes consumption tend to show off (comparison psychology), fashion, human feelings and bad habits. This is a vicious circle. More and more money in students' hands is not spent on study, but on material enjoyment. How can this keep their minds focused on their studies? Fashion changes quickly, and energy is spent on this. Is it possible to concentrate on your studies?
In the course of our investigation, there is a question about the living expenses of middle school students for one month. The data we get is amazing. Students who live on campus spend more than one month in 350 yuan, accounting for a considerable proportion. What's more, they even spend about 1000 yuan! This is not only a huge expense for middle school students, but also a big expense for those who already have jobs. Where did all the middle school students' money go? After our visit, we have drawn the following consumption aspects:
1, snack consumption. In the survey, we learned that both boys and girls spend a lot on snacks, which is also a kind of "fine" consumption. Boys often consume a large bottle of sports drinks in repetitive exercise, which can be said to be "one bottle" every day. Girls' snack consumption is different. They mainly "eat" and make big purchases once a week or several weeks, such as potato chips, biscuits, instant noodles, small spicy fish, spicy dried radish and other foods. Sometimes they eat these snacks as rice.
2. Human consumption. Its position in the field of consumption should not be underestimated. In the survey, we found that the "human consumption" of peers is rising rapidly. Almost all students use their pocket money to buy gifts for each other on birthdays or special festivals. Usually, the spending range is 20-50 yuan, because most students think that gifts are too cheap to send out, others give them to you, and the price is not cheap. It is always bad not to return them, and gifts should not be "shabby". Therefore, the cost of this aspect is rising day by day.
3. Consumption at school. In our investigation, we found that the living expenses of the students living on campus for one month are between 300 ~ 500 yuan, and some parents will give their children a one-time living allowance of 1000 yuan, while the school living expenses for one day are mostly around 10 ~ 17 yuan, so this consumption ratio is not very high.
Through many surveys, we know the consumption direction of middle school students, but at the same time, we also find the problem: it is not enough for middle school students to spend only the living expenses given by their parents for one month, so where does this money come from? So we made a further investigation and found several ways for middle school students to make money:
1, saved by lucky money. Every Chinese New Year holiday, parents and relatives at home will give their children some lucky money, which can be described as a "bumper harvest". It is very common to get 1 0,000 yuan at this time.
2. Ask your parents. When a child asks to buy something, or has no money to eat, parents will give the child the corresponding money.
3. Take money from grandpa's generation. Grandpa, grandma, grandma and grandpa will love their grandchildren very much. Children will basically give full support if they want it, and rarely ask what the money will be used for.
4. Squeeze it out of your living expenses. For your own consumption, you can cut off nearly half of your living expenses to use.
Nowadays, schools and parents have not included "financial management" in their education plans, which makes it impossible for students to accept good consumption concepts in an orderly manner. The survey found that middle school students also have impulsive consumption, and the living expenses given by their parents are simply not enough. Middle school students are in the immature stage of the formation of consumption concept, and the correct guidance during the formation period has a great influence on their later life. If you spend money like water when you are a middle school student, you will not only suffer for yourself as an adult, but also make mistakes for yourself, causing irreparable harm to others and society. Therefore, it is urgent to establish the consumption view of middle school students! For middle school students to establish a correct concept of consumption, we put forward the following points:
1. Set up a purposeful and reasonable consumption for middle school students, record every expenditure, see if you have bought anything you shouldn't, and write down your own consumption experience.
2. Let middle school students understand that it is not necessarily "cheap without good goods", but should be good and cheap. Don't be a captive of the star effect, learn to consume independently, and don't blindly follow the trend.
3. Schools and parents should be role models for middle school students, guide their consumption concepts through various forms, form an atmosphere, and teach middle school students not to have bad psychology such as comparison psychology.
4. The society should strengthen the management of promoting consumer advertisements, and actively publicize slogans and concepts that are conducive to the formation of a good consumption concept, such as "do what you can" and "higher practical price".
The above is the conclusion we have reached through investigation and interview, which is definitely different from yours. I hope to communicate with you, further improve our report and explore ways to solve the misunderstanding of middle school students' consumption. A spendthrift who only wants to pursue material comforts cannot make positive contributions to this society and promote the future of the motherland. Therefore, we should always remember to be a diligent, hardworking and brave middle school student, a new generation of young people with ideals, goals, discipline and morality, and strive for the future of the motherland!
feel
At the turn of the century, middle school students are in a good economic environment created since the reform and opening up, and at the same time, they are influenced by new things from outside. Nowadays, the concepts and ideas of middle school students are very different from those of their peers. The change of consumption concept is particularly significant. Now the consumption structure of middle school students is not single, but towards enjoyment, high-grade and even diversified consumption. Although due to age, thinking ability, social experience and other reasons, its consumption psychology and behavior are inevitably unreasonable, so it is necessary to consume reasonably.
Due to the increase of the only child, parents' excessive doting on their children has also brought negative effects to their children. Parents should guide their children's consumption correctly. Family is a child's first school. Parents themselves should maintain the virtue of thrift and the spirit of hard struggle, and pay attention to the subtle influence of their words and deeds on their children. Parents should educate their children to cherish the fruits of labor, cherish food, be picky about food and clothes, cherish learning tools and save water. Parents tell their children more about the difficulty of making money and the hardships of daily necessities, so that children can understand that their consumption needs to be limited within the scope permitted by family economic conditions, learn to spend money moderately, reduce the impact of material desires on their children in the commercial society, and cultivate their frugal quality. Of course, the concept is not static, it will change slowly in people's behavior, and behavior will in turn affect people's ideas. That's how consumption works. It is influenced by both internal factors and external things. We should look at it from the perspective of development.
