On the back is Zhu Ziqing's first collection of essays. Prior to this, he published a book Trace (Yadong Bookstore, 1924), which is a new collection of poems and essays. 1922, he published Poems with Yu Pingbo and Ye Shengtao, the first new poetry publication in the history of China's new literature, and also published eight new poems, Snow Tide, with Zhou Zuoren and Zheng Zhenduo (Commercial Press, 1922). In the preface, he said, "Before I was twenty-five, I liked to write poems. In recent years, my poems have dried up and I have been writing for a long time. " After tracing, Zhu Ziqing alienated from new poetry and began to turn to prose. "In this little book, it is an essay written in four years." "This little book" is "the back". Zhu Ziqing's prose was familiar to us in middle school. For example, Green, Qinhuai River in the Shadow of Paddle Lights, Moonlight on the Lotus Pond and Back are all model essays in middle school textbooks, and almost all of them have been memorized in those years. These four essays are also the representative works of Zhu Ziqing's early essays. The first two are included in Trace, and the last two are compiled in Back. Just like the title of the book, The Back is a touching text. When I was in middle school, I was sleepy when I heard the teacher break it into segments with a blunt knife. Now I read it again: "I saw him wearing a small black hat, a big black jacket and a dark blue cotton robe, stumbling towards the railway and slowly leaning down ... He climbed up with his hands and his feet shrank again; His fat body leans slightly to the left, showing signs of hard work. At this time, I saw his back and tears quickly flowed down. " My nose is sour, too. In Zhu Ziqing's mind, his father has always been the person he feared, but now seeing his clumsy figure, Zhu Ziqing's heart is only sad. Moonlight on the Lotus Pond was written by Zhu Ziqing when he was teaching in Tsinghua campus. Last year, I saw someone auction its woodcut, which is five or six pages. A friend in Shanghai took it and sent it to me. It turned out to be a watermark. Originally thought to be a secret book, it has a watermark, which is not rare. It is said that it is casually stuffed under the table glass. There are two episodes, A and B, with *** 15. The second episode is a travel story, and the first episode is more about people, such as Mourning Wei Jiesan, Bai Cai and Embracing the Green King with Huai Wei, all of which are works in memory of friends. In the book Back, there are two illustrations, one is a painting by Feng Zikai, and the other is an illustration of Children inscribed by Xia Mianzun, which depicts a four-year-old vegetable, the daughter of Zhu Ziqing. Feng Zikai and Xia Mianzun were colleagues of Zhu Ziqing when he was in Shangyu chunhui middle school. By Baima Lake, Feng and Xia's former residences are still there, but Zhu Ziqing's residence is missing. Several articles in this book were written in Baima Lake, such as Women and Snow. Another illustration is the poet's snow-white back, standing on the terrace overlooking, like a gift from the Lord. The photo says: Brother Pei Xian will go back to the south as a token of my postponement! Bai Cai died in a letter from a friend. He died on a ship from Hong Kong to Shanghai. When the boat reached Wusongkou, the poet died suddenly. Among the relics are four packages of women's hair-"Bai Cai is an elusive person", Zhu Ziqing said. Zhu Ziqing's early essays, such as those in Traces and Back, are gorgeous and beautiful, and some people like them and others criticize them. Ye Shengtao is an old friend of Zhu Ziqing. In an article mourning his old friend, he said: "His early essays, such as In a hurry, Moonlight on the Lotus Pond, and Shadowing the Qinhuai River, are all a little artificial, paying too much attention to rhetoric and not seeing nature." Tang Tao also said: "The text in the sketch is smooth and clear, and there is no difference, but I always feel that there is a lack of a soul, an anger contained in spoken language." However, Zheng Zhenduo doesn't think so. In his view, Zhu Ziqing's prose is full of poetry. "Among the writers of the Literature Research Association, except for Ms. Bing Xin, the beauty of the article depends on him." May in Shen Jia, Ai Yuanji.
