Professional introduction

Because sound wave is an effective tool to detect targets and transmit information in seawater, underwater acoustic engineering has been widely used in economic construction. Since 1987, our college has been cultivating graduate students majoring in underwater acoustic engineering, and now it has a master's degree authorization point and a doctoral degree authorization point, forming four relatively stable research directions with outstanding characteristics and obvious advantages:
General technology of (1) sonar.
⑵ Signal processing.
(3) Sensors and acoustic systems.
⑷ Measurement and testing technology.
After graduation, graduate students can engage in scientific research and teaching of acoustics, electronics, computer application and information engineering, and also engage in the design, production and scientific research of fishery machinery, petroleum, geology, marine instruments, medical instruments and other departments.
Training objectives
This subject trains high-level underwater acoustic research talents who take into account acoustics, vibration and signal processing. Degree winners should have a solid knowledge of acoustic vibration theory, master the characteristics and development direction of underwater acoustics, and have the ability to engage in basic research on underwater acoustic engineering applications. Through the training of master's study and thesis work, we can cultivate the independent working ability of theory and practice and make innovative research results on practical problems related to this discipline.
