A paper on the image of a great country
With the continuous increase of China's GDP, our exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries are increasingly extensive, and cultural collisions between countries are inevitable. Our government really wants to export our culture abroad. But our country is not a cultural power, but a cultural power. If we want to become a country with global influence like the United States, I think it is more difficult than our GDP to surpass them. Why are we not a cultural power? I think there are three reasons:

First of all, China is one of the four ancient civilizations. It has a long history and civilization of thousands of years, which is an indisputable fact. It has become our proud capital. However, the ancients did not expect their descendants to be so courageous. Now, when dealing with foreign countries, I show them off with the four great inventions of my ancestors and the way of Confucius and Mencius. For many years, we have been eating leftovers left by our ancestors. What we lack is innovation and talents.

Secondly, communication between countries is just like communication between people. A person's character is like a country's culture. The character of China people is simple and hardworking, but the bad thing is that they are too conservative and introverted. A lively, cheerful and outgoing person is always more influential than an introverted person! America is such an extroverted "person". As we all know, American culture is very popular, and three blockbusters dominate the world: one is a Hollywood blockbuster; The second is KFC McDonald's potato chips; The third is under the guise of freedom and democracy. China's culture mainly focuses on how to deal with interpersonal relationships, the relationship between the country and the people, and self-cultivation. But one bad thing is that China pays too much attention to etiquette. In my college political class, I agree with the teacher that the purpose of culture and morality is to serve people's behavior. But paying too much attention to culture and morality will become an act of serving culture and morality. This is the case in China. Because of its long history, China has created a long and civilized culture. But there are many dross in our ancient culture, and I even think that its influence on China is no less advanced. For example, women were despised and even abused. As we all know, in ancient China, women had no rights-except to have children. What "three obedience and four virtues", "men are superior to women" and foot binding. In Buddhism founded by Sakyamuni, "all beings are equal", and Jesus also said that "everyone is equal before God". It can be seen that equality for all is recognized as the most basic morality. Having said that, some people may say, "Everyone will never be equal in this world, because my salary will never reach the height of a real estate agent." The equality of all people here refers to some inherent rights of people. In ancient China, male superiority over female inferiority can be said to be the extinction of human nature. You know, this phenomenon has lasted for thousands of years. Until now, son preference not only exists, but also is very serious.

The last one is China's education system. Our children have been booked by their parents and society from birth, going to primary school and studying hard. Going to junior high school, going up every day, going to high school, getting better and better; In short, everything is for the exam, and high scores are the last word. It is precisely because of this kind of educational method that does not pay attention to enlightenment that students' thinking becomes rigid. How can the country innovate if students don't innovate?

As for whether our culture will flourish with the growth of our GDP, or whether we will use the "four great inventions" to talk about culture with foreigners in the next few centuries? I don't know.
