Sci-tech novelty retrieval (referred to as novelty retrieval) refers to the operation that novelty retrieval institutions make a conclusion (novelty retrieval report) according to the sci-tech content provided by novelty retrieval clients and the national sci-tech novelty retrieval standards. It is a work set up by the Ministry of Science and Technology to avoid repeating scientific research projects and objectively and correctly judge the novelty of scientific research achievements. At present, it has been gradually popularized and used in scientific research projects, declaration of scientific and technological achievement awards, patent application, thesis opening and evaluation.

Novelty retrieval requirements refer to the specific wishes of novelty retrieval clients. Generally, it can be divided into the following four situations: (1) It is hoped that novelty retrieval institutions will prove whether there are the same or similar studies in China within the scope of investigation through novelty retrieval; (two) I hope that the novelty retrieval institutions will make a domestic comparative analysis of novelty retrieval projects individually or comprehensively; (3) It is hoped that novelty retrieval institutions will judge the novelty of novelty retrieval projects; (4) Check other wishes put forward by customers.
