This major pays attention to the combination of modern materials and science and technology, and cultivates high-quality innovative professional artistic talents who are engaged in professional development, process design, artistic creation, teaching and scientific research in the field of public art design, such as space environment landscape design, urban sculpture art design, mural art design, decorative ornaments design, and tourism handicraft design. The main courses of art design major are mainly studied in different directions: Chinese and foreign art history, art introduction, design introduction, graphic design, computer art design, advertising design and architectural garden design, indoor and outdoor decoration design, architectural decoration construction management and decorative sculpture, mural design, installation, comprehensive painting, packaging design, display design, poster design, CI design and other courses.

The main practical teaching links are: practical application of computer technology, outdoor sketch, photography, academic papers, graduation thesis, graduation design, national defense education, labor and so on.
