I have always believed that it is the good wish of all parents in the world to expect their children to succeed, but it is only a matter of time before a person with good moral character has to worry about his studies, even if his studies are not ideal for the time being. To my delight, my point of view has been strongly proved in Mrs Steiner's works. Mrs Steiner believes that a child's heart is a strange land. You sow the seeds of thought, and you will reap the harvest of behavior. Sow the seeds of behavior and you will reap the habits; Sow the seeds of habit, and you will get moral harvest; Sow the seeds of character and you will reap the harvest of fate. So she pays special attention to cultivating her daughter's moral character. In order to cultivate a daughter's good character. She is very cautious and sets an example for children everywhere. By telling stories, emphasizing practice and arguing about right and wrong, she paid attention to cultivating her daughter's virtues such as diligence, self-control, courage, punctuality, consideration, sympathy, obedience and self-esteem from an early age.
Similarly, Mr. Ichiro Suzuki, a famous Japanese educator, also stressed: "As parents, the most important thing is to train our children into a person with a beautiful heart, which is equivalent to guiding them to a happy life."
In addition, M.S. Steiner also believes that education should not start with teachers at school, but with mothers at home. Only a good mother can educate a good child, so every mother who has hope for her child must first be a qualified mother herself. Children are the shadows of their parents. All the good and evil qualities of children are learned from their parents. Especially the mother's words and deeds, play a huge role in the growth of children. An ideal mother should always be calm, always kind, always care about her children, always know the correct way to discipline her children, always be willing to spend time with her children to grow up, always have the belief of winning, and always be willing to discuss problems with her children.
Froebel once said: "The fate of the people is in the hands of their mothers rather than those in power. Therefore, we must strive to inspire mothers-educators of mankind. " Mrs Steiner's practice tells us that even ordinary children will become extraordinary people as long as they are properly educated. The key lies in parents, especially mothers, because mothers determine the family education environment in which children grow up. To some extent, mother is the environment for children. Without the acquired education and environment, even the best children can't succeed, which can be confirmed by famous Japanese educators Suzuki Ichi and Ibuka. Suzuki believes: "People's talent is stimulated and cultivated through the educational environment, not born." Mr. Ibuka also thinks: "Environment is the true shaper of wisdom." Therefore, parents and educators have the obligation and responsibility to create a good environment for the healthy growth of children.
Through reading this book, I also came up with the idea of introducing Mrs. Steiner's educational philosophy to parents and sharing it with them. Because parents now have many misunderstandings in educating their children, it is easy to go to extremes: either ignore the children; Either force children to learn this and that, regardless of their wishes and interests, deprive them of their freedom in the name of love and constrain the healthy development of their personality; Or we mistakenly think that education is a matter for schools and teachers, and regard schools as nurseries ... All these wrong phenomena need to be corrected by training parents. It is also a long-term task for us educators to guide parents to establish correct educational concepts and form scientific family education methods, because only when parents' concepts are updated and correct can home and school really form a joint force and education can really get twice the result with half the effort.
