Abstract: Etiquette documents are applied styles used by governments, organs, enterprises, institutions and individuals in etiquette activities. Nowadays, people's communication at home and abroad is more and more frequent, and the role of modern etiquette documents as a bridge is becoming more and more prominent and important. Cognitive understanding of the characteristics of etiquette documents can better guide the writing practice of etiquette documents. This paper discusses the behavior generation, behavior choice and behavior purpose of etiquette documents.

In the field of writing, people are used to practical writing or practical writing, and there is no difference between them. Here, it is necessary to treat it differently.

Practical writing actually refers to practical writing. The concept of "practical writing" was first put forward by Liu Xizai in Qing Dynasty. In his Introduction to Art, he said: "The style of speech can be inferred as all practical writing. Practical writing is upward, parallel and downward, and it is important to emphasize its words. " This concept mainly refers to official document writing, emphasizing the accuracy of language and the authenticity of content. Later, Xu further elaborated in the General Theory of Duck Treatment: "Those who are useful to personnel, such as letters, public calves, miscellaneous notes, prefaces and postscripts, inscriptions, hymns, funerals, etc., are all called' practical writing'." This concept further broadens the scope of practical writing, and the application occasions are more specific. Modern Chinese Dictionary defines practical writing as "a style often used in daily life or work, such as official documents, letters, advertisements, receipts, etc." . From these discussions, we can clearly see that practical writing is a common style for people to handle official and private affairs, including office practical writing and private practical writing. The concept of practical writing is broader, including not only the above-mentioned practical writing, but also other related styles that are not used to being called practical writing, such as news style, academic style, historical biography style and so on. In a word, practical writing actually corresponds to artistic writing, including various styles other than artistic writing.
