Journal C refers to CSSCI, a Chinese social science citation index, which is called "Chinese social science citation index" in English and abbreviated as CSSCI.
Some units simply classify academic journals as Class A, Class B and Class C, and the standards of each unit are not necessarily the same.
According to the literature they rely on and the research characteristics of their own units, each unit divides publications into category A, followed by category B and category C (some units become categories I, II and III), among which category C publications are sometimes called category C publications.
But C magazine also has another common concept. That is, CSSCI periodicals in humanities and social sciences periodicals. This is evaluated by China Social Science Research and Evaluation Center of Nanjing University every two years. CSSCI is the abbreviation of NTU Core.
