Brief introduction of Wu LUN
Wu Lun, male, 1964, was born in Changsha, Hunan Province in July, and is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Peking University. Professor and Deputy Director of Peking University Institute of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System; Vice President of Digital China Research Institute, project expert of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), GIS consultant of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), information expert committee of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and member of digital city expert group of the Ministry of Construction. He has been engaged in geographic information model method, 3S software development and geoscience application research for many years, and presided over more than 0 national scientific research projects 10, including 3 national 863 projects, 5 national scientific research projects, 3 national natural science foundation projects, 2 military projects and more than 20 provincial and ministerial information system projects. Published more than 0/00 papers (including more than 30 papers retrieved by SCI and EI). He has published 8 books/textbooks, among which "Principles, Methods and Applications of Geographic Information System" was published by Science Press, which has a great influence. Won the second prize 1 (1993) of the Ministry of Education, the second prize 1 (1994) of the China Academy of Sciences, the excellent textbook prize of the Ministry of Education (1997), the first prize of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping for scientific and technological progress (2005). Introduction to Undergraduate Geographic Information System won the National Excellent Course (2006). Presided over or co-chaired 2 international academic conferences of young scientists of China Association for Science and Technology, 1 forum.
