The International College of Language and Culture is located in the school headquarters. Schools include China student education and international student education, covering two academic levels: undergraduate education and postgraduate education. This year, the undergraduate major for China students is Chinese as a foreign language (Sino-Thai cooperation, non-normal), and the training mode of "3+ 1" is implemented, that is, students majoring in this major study basic courses and main trunk courses of Chinese as a foreign language in Yunnan Normal University in the first two years after enrollment, and take school-level public elective courses, then study some basic courses of this major in relevant universities in Thailand in the third year and complete their professional practice, and finally study some majors in Yunnan Normal University in the last year.

The Institute of International Language and Culture has carried out international cooperation with Royal Thai Buddhist University, Royal Nanbang University, Royal swanson Nanta University, Royal Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai University, Oriental University and Empress Dowager University. Students majoring in Chinese as a foreign language in our college are arranged to study in one of the universities in the third year. Students with good family economic conditions and excellent English scores can also choose to apply for studying in foreign universities, such as the University of Oklahoma, the University of Dalana in Sweden and Jianyang University in Korea.

Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (China cooperates with ASEAN, not a normal school, enrolling candidates in literature and history).

This major cultivates both ability and political integrity, adapts to the needs of Yunnan's social and economic development, has innovative spirit and practical ability, has a solid foundation in Chinese and Thai, has comprehensive English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation abilities, grasps the basic theory and knowledge of Chinese language and literature, and has a comprehensive understanding of China literature, China culture and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. It has high-level professionals engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and has the potential for further training. And applied linguistics professionals who can teach Chinese as a foreign language and engage in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in relevant departments, various schools, press and publication, cultural management and enterprises and institutions at home and abroad.

Students in this major systematically study the basic theories and professional knowledge of linguistics and philology, master the basic theories and knowledge of Chinese language and literature, master the professional knowledge of China literature, comparative literature, Thai language and literature, Sino-Thai comparative culture and so on, be proficient in using Thai, and have the basic ability to engage in language and culture research.

1. Domestic part: comprehensive English, English listening, oral English, advanced English reading, English writing, basic Thai, modern Chinese, ancient Chinese, introduction to linguistics, phonetics of modern Chinese, Chinese writing, China literature, foreign literature, introduction to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, acquisition of Chinese as a foreign language, and comparative study between China and Thailand.

2. Thailand: Thai, Thai reading, Thai listening, Thai speaking, Thai writing, etc.

Main elective courses: Chinese painting, China Wushu, rhetoric of Chinese as a foreign language, teaching Chinese characters as a foreign language, vocabulary teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, general situation of Thailand, Chinese and foreign culture and etiquette, China folk art, educational psychology, etc.

Enrollment requirements: 1, foreign language candidates; 2. Chinese as a foreign language is a non-normal major, and you need to study at Thai University 1 year. The total cost of studying in Thailand for one year is about 30,000 RMB. It is hoped that candidates will fully consider the family economic situation when applying for the exam. 3. The major of teaching Chinese as a foreign language requires candidates to have good image temperament and standard Mandarin.
