1. First open the computer, then open Endnote, and click Edit-Export Style-Open Style Manager.
2. In the pop-up window, select a similar reference format and click "Style Information/Preview" in the second line of the red box to preview the selected reference format. Here, the "lipid" is randomly selected, which is just an example. You can also go to word to preview the format of the reference. The red box quoted in word is for comparison with step 5. You can click "Edit" at the red border 3 to edit the selected reference format.
3. In the new pop-up window, first save the reference format as, and then click File-Save As.
4. In the small window that pops up, name it (here: lipid copy of current viewpoint) and save it.
5. Click "Template" under "Bibliography", and different reference formats will appear on the right, such as the reference formats of books and periodical articles. The following is just an example of changing the references of journal articles.
6. The current format of "journal articles" is: author? | Title | Journal | Year; | Volume |: Page |. ? The "author" and "title" here are the corresponding contents in the red box in the second picture of this step. If the references of journal papers need to show the "serial number" (spot number), you can add this information to the original format (the specific format is set according to your own requirements), such as the author. | Title. | Journal | Year; | Volume (issue) |: Page |. .
Use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+s to save after modification, and then click the "X" on the red border in the upper right corner to close the window. Note: it is not the top "X".
7. Finally, return to word. Under the "Endnote X7" tab, click the small drop-down arrow at the red border 1-select the reference format of the current opinion fat copy named in step 3-click "Update Citation and Bibliography" at the red border 3 to update the reference format.
