His father is Xu. Yuan Huiqin is a native of Yichang, Hubei Province, and a national first-class actor of the National Peking Opera Theatre. He studied under Li Jinquan, Yang Yunqing, Kong Yan, Gao Yuqian and other famous performing artists. Yuan Huiqin comes from an ordinary civilian family. His father Xu is a boatman on the bank of the Yangtze River, and his mother Yuan Wenxiu is an employee of a small factory. The whole family has nothing to do with Beijing opera.
