Brief introduction of Dalian Jiaotong University:
Dalian Jiaotong University is the only institution of higher learning in Northeast China that features rail transit. 1956, the school was founded in response to the development needs of China's railway locomotive and rolling stock industry. At that time, it was Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Manufacturing School. 1958 was upgraded to Dalian Railway Institute, formerly managed by the Ministry of Railways. In February 2000, it was handed over to the Liaoning provincial government for management. In May 2004, it was renamed Dalian Jiaotong University.
In the long-term course of running a school, the school has always adhered to the mission of taking the university as the mission, insisting on serving the regional economy and society, the development of rail transit industry and the strategic needs of the country, and has formed the school motto of "dignity, pragmatism, perseverance" and "pursuit of virtue and perseverance";
More than 10 million graduates have been trained, most of whom are employed in the rail transit industry, and some of them have become industry leaders and core technical talents, enjoying the reputation of "the cradle of China rail transit equipment manufacturing engineers" in the industry.
The school has two campuses, Shahekou Campus and Lushunkou Campus, with a total area of 82 1 000 square meters and a total construction area of 54 1 000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 396 million yuan, the total collection of literature resources is 65.438+0.3232 million copies, electronic books are 65.438+0.5924 million copies, and Chinese and foreign electronic periodicals are 46.5438+0.254 kinds.
The school has the right to award doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees, and is a key construction university of first-class disciplines in Liaoning Province. Mechanical engineering, material science and engineering are the first-class disciplines in Liaoning universities, while mechanical engineering, material science and engineering and transportation engineering are the provincial key disciplines.
At present, there are two postdoctoral research stations in mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, two first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 13 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees, six categories authorized by master's degrees, 49 undergraduate majors and five five five-year dual majors, covering seven disciplines including engineering, management, literature, science, economics, law and art.
