School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, East China Normal University was established in September 2005. It was formed by the merger of the School of Software of East China Normal University and the Department of Computer Science and Technology. It is one of the first batch of 35 demonstration software colleges in China, and it is also the only demonstration software college approved to be established in normal universities in China. Professor He Jifeng, academician of China Academy of Sciences, is the president.

Computer science and technology, Internet of Things engineering, software engineering and data science and big data technology are four undergraduate majors. Among them, computer science and technology specialty includes four enrollment directions. It has two full-time master programs in computer application technology (engineering) and software engineering (master), and a part-time professional degree authorization program in software engineering (master). There are 3 departments, 1 teaching department, 5 research institutes and 4 scientific research teams.

The predecessor of Computer Science and Technology College, Computer Science and Technology Department, was founded in August 1998, and was renamed as Information Science and Technology College in July 2003, Information College in April 2065438, and Computer Science and Technology College in August 20120 18. There are 65 faculty members, 8 professors, 8 associate professors 18 and 32 doctors. There are more than 2300 students, including graduate students 126.

School of Computer Science and Technology was established; In the same year, the Software College was established and approved by the Ministry of Education and the State Planning Commission as a national model software college.
