Sichuan International Studies University, referred to as "Chuanwai", is located in Shapingba District, Chongqing. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it is a full-time college affiliated to Chongqing Municipal People's Government. It is one of the earliest four foreign language colleges established in China.

The school has now developed into a multidisciplinary foreign language university with foreign languages and literature as the mainstay and China's languages and literature, journalism and communication, education, economics, management, law and other disciplines developing in a coordinated way. It has a multi-form and multi-level complete school-running system, including doctoral education, master's education, undergraduate education, international student education, continuing education and intensive training.

international cooperation

The school has established inter-school cooperation and exchange relations with more than 100 universities and institutions in more than 30 countries or regions, established two Sino-foreign cooperative education projects approved by the Ministry of Education, such as China-Australia Business English and Sino-French Logistics Management, and established three Confucius Institutes with Nizhny Novgorod State Language University in Russia, Lome University in Togo and Central Education Service Center in eastern Ohio.
