Actually, this is hard to compare. No matter "The Story of Yueyang Tower" or "Preface to Wang Tengting", these two articles are absolutely rare in the history of China literature. Even today, many people are still arguing about which is stronger or weaker, but in my opinion, these two articles are first-class and both are very powerful. It is difficult to compare which article is stronger or weaker, because even if these two articles are lost to another article in this respect, they can be immediate.

First, language. On the one hand, Preface to Wang Tengting is slightly better. After all, The Preface to Wang Tengting is known as the best parallel prose in the world, while The Story of Yueyang Tower is not so prestigious. Moreover, Preface to Wang Tengting is excellent in diction and neatness, and it also uses many catchy idioms, so it can be clearly seen that Preface to Wang Tengting is definitely better than Biography of Yueyang Tower.

The second aspect is talent. Compared with the writing time of Yueyang Tower, Preface to Wang Tengting was written by the poet Wang Bo with a stroke of a pen, and it didn't take much time, while the poem Yueyang Tower was written by the poet Fan Zhongyan. Not only that, the ages of the two poets are far apart. At the time of creation, Wang Bo was still a young man in his prime, while Fan Zhongyan was an old man in his sixties. What's more, when Wang Bo wrote the lyrics, he created them in the face of real scenes, while Fan Zhongyan only created them according to a few pictures, so in this respect, I think they are the same, neck and neck.

The third aspect is thought. The parallel prose in Preface to Wang Teng-ting is mainly the poet's unfulfilled ambition to die and serve his country, but he is still determined in adversity, which is a complex feeling of pain, disappointment, complexity and hardship. The Story of Yueyang Tower describes that even though the poet is far away from home, he is still concerned about state affairs and still has a strong feeling of home and country. Therefore, from this ideological realm, Yueyang Tower is obviously better than Preface to Wang Tengting.
