Among them, 1992 "Study on new beneficiation technology of recovering iron and rare earth minerals by weak magnetic field-strong magnetic field-flotation in Baotou Baiyun Obo large polymetallic mine" was rated as one of the top ten scientific and technological achievements in China, 1986 as a model worker in Hunan Province, 1989 as a national "Labor Medal" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and 1989 as a national "Labor Medal".

The academician of China Academy of Engineering, who is known as the "king of mineral processing" in China metallurgical industry, has been engaged in the research of iron ore beneficiation process in Daye, Hubei, Wuyang, Henan, Zhongshan, Fujian, Baiyunebo and Baotou. In the past 40 years, many great achievements have been made in the field of beneficiation of hematite, polymetallic ore and rare metal ore. He presided over the research on beneficiation technology of mixed iron ore in WISCO Daye Iron Mine, and developed a new process of low-intensity magnetic separation-high-intensity magnetic separation. After the production line constructed by this process is put into use, the annual processing capacity of mixed iron ore reaches 2 million tons, and the profit in the first four years is more than 2 1 10 thousand yuan. Participated in the research of "Comprehensive Utilization of Niobium Resources and Product Development and Application Technology in Baotou Steel" and won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award 199 1. He has also won the titles of "National Model Worker", "May 1st Labor Medal" and "National Excellent Scientific and Technological Worker". 1996 won the honorary title of "Science and Technology Star of Hunan Province".
